Oh WOOOW no dune 2???
Not top 5 no. It’s a cinematic experience for sure, but it’s not my favorite style of movie as you can see
lol only Anora huh?
Yup. I had a chance to peep a different man but I kept telling myself maybe one day, now we're gonna be one day away from 2025

Lmaoooo….i had it as my #1 ever since I seen it at Sundance. But wasn’t sure if I was just caught up in the hype of the experience.
Second watch it still held up for me.
How tf nobody wins barely start following me?
I swear I did before but checked and it said I wasn’t lmao
No lie I prolly won’t have a final list until Jan. I have to wait to see Brutalist and Nickel boys first but that won’t be till mid Jan.
So far:
Anora
A different man
Sing sing
His three daughters
Ghostlight
Elite
Sing Sing is my #1 and A Different Man is #5

It's awesome. Get on that ASAP
Alien Romulus better but this was good. Will probably rewatch in a theater before it leaves.
I need to see Robert do an alien movie. The atmosphere in the movie would be crazy.
In what universe is Alien Romulus better?..
MAJOR SPOILER SO ONLY RESPOND TO IT OR ANY POST INVOLVING IT IN SPOILER TAGS
While Nosferatu is dying he looks like Hoult or Houltish for a reason or am I tripping. Because there was a larger point about toxc masculinity on all sides of this movie. Continously not believing women victims til it cost them their lives. Yes her sexuality is on display but an basic view of "omg her o face" . Her o\*\*\*\*\* is part of what frees her. When she has hoult f\*\*\* her like that she wants to be ravaged. She doesnt want to be treated poorly nor is it like he is slapping her during the s\*\*\*in eithercase its intimate. TheI could be a good girl s\*\*\* isnt some p\*\*\* level s\*\*\*. She recongnizes that without her sexuality what do these men want from her. She does many other actions including having his kids yet he will leave her at a moments notice to smoke tobacco and drink with the boys
also there is no way you aren't connecting many of these things
I agree 100%. This movie has to be rewatched to pick up on stuff like this if you didn't focus on it before. But that's how Eggers films are. It's not going to be just what you see at plain sight.

Picked up on this tonight
Nosferatu is pretty direct about toxic masculinity and considering the time this story was made, and takes place it has a lot of feminist themes. Idea of making women feel like it’s a sin to have s***before marriage and losing their innocence, gaslighting and control, religion and female subjugation, and just the idea of female agency and being afraid of it.
Eggers told the story very very well if you view it a through a feminist lens. He did not hold back and the fact there’s people in here that are trying to argue the opposite are insane.
Now if you want to argue other reasons why this movie sucks then Ima be with you
This might be the type of movie where the EXPERIENCE of watching it has you 100% enraptured and under its spell, but then you don’t think about it at all afterwards.
I was wrong about this btw

Furiosa
They didn’t have Orlok run around with a coffin 4/10
Honestly, maybe the hype hasn't worn off but.... Nosferatu is the top film of 2024 for me. Even though I saw it yesterday, the only one even coming close to how good it is... there is no other movie except Dune Part 2.
Both movies are the only ones that had me glued in start to finish.
I don't know what else could've topped either of them
