It gets more black. That doesn’t mean that everyone is black tho. I ask again, is a dark skin Indian today black just because he’s dark skinned? Do you think only black people can be dark skinned?

No but I associate them more closely to that of a black person than anything else. Black people can have thin eyes, straight hair, blue eyes, etc. the distinction is usually made with the skin tone.

We have no way of knowing the exact history of and where these people came from. The history was lost and any dark person in America was grouped into the same title. That’s what “colored” as a term comes from. Sculptures that are clearly of people we’d call African are sitting right there on western territory. You and I both know this, so the idea of people with “African” features existing in places outside of Africa pre-slavery shouldn’t be so crazy to you.

educate me cause maybe i'm uninformed. If we put social programs out there where people can opt in or out like our current healthcare system will that be socialism. I think the government providing the basic needs that everyone needs to survive while letting others who are able to go on with their everyday lives be without government support

Even socialism isn’t that delusional my friend hahahaha. The idea that some can live under socialism while others capitalism within the same system simultaneously is just not possible. I mean it is but so much of it has to do with human willingness. The reason why capitalism works so well universally, even with the concept of cheap labor exploitation, is that people are essentially free to make their own decisions. Obviously a large portion of the planet is in a position where they feel like their decision/path pool to choose from is quite limited (why we love to say things like “I had no choice”) but it’s still a lot more choice than you have under socialism.

What you’re describing is kinda like UBI (Universal Basic Income) which is a socialistic policy that can be applied to a capitalist system. I’m not a fan of it personally.

You think it is possible to have a democratic socialist government?

Yes. They exist and flourish today. It can just get really messy sometimes. I prefer free enterprise personally.

Still don't like it. I get the intention. But those same kings and queens we now seek to re-interpret sold their population off to slavery in those days. I guess it's a cultural thing. My ancestors are from a country that had royalty until not too long ago and it's nothing nice. This is like trying to make the word dictator something positive.

And it coming from a woman that gets called Queen Bey, is a billionaire and portrays herself as some divine being doesn't help either

I guess I look at the term differently. Relating it to power and status compared to the negative historical images/status of black people portrayed in media. Don't think many people look at it from your perspective though.

I think we're realizing now more than ever that Twitter fingers and trying to fight for equality will never equate to one another, if you actually wanna be "woke" and make a change you have to get politically involved, start locally, in-person fundraisers to spread awareness, etc.

    People need to stfu online

Yeah US imperialism is def the most impactful imperialism in africa

she was right until that part

Which again shows she hasn’t actually studied these things that in depth

There is some US imperialism in some North African countries (libya) but it by far isnt the most pervasive power in Africa

France and china would be more correct answers

So you think being black is just skin tone? You don’t think kinky hair, African features, etc are also what determines if someone is black?
