This tweet is pretty f***ing stupid, she literally said it already, its all over their discographies so why would they need to tweet s*** about it?
When we already know where they stand

I mean this might sound stupid, but we still live in a capitalistic society so when does representation and awareness become exploitation. I’m not suggesting any artist does this, but if one were to only speak directly on oppression an injustice in forms that can be monetized and commercialized for personal gain, does that then become problematic? At the end of the day, music is still a business and rappers are trying to make money

Why do people sit back and wait for celebrities to say something? S*** doesn’t matter at all.

I always love when she tweets things like this cus it weeds out the racists and capitalists immediately. Idk how this s*** is even controversial

    It’s not. It’s counterproductive. though

Time and place for everything. Today isn’t about artist not tweeting. Kendrick, Cole and Hov isn’t MLK. Furthermore, she doesn’t know exactly what they are doing and in what capacity. Starting an unnecessary conversation about rich rappers, who positively influence their communities in their music, because they haven’t tweeted about something obvious doesn’t move the conversation forward. As a matter fact o can bet you that Those individuals have done more than no name but like always they requested their names not be attached to it.

Noname is right...........fucking Taylor Swift and Kevin Nash going harder than f***ing rappers. Mfs are really just in it for the bag these days

Knowing Kendrick, Cole and Jay they’d put the words into songs which is 100x more effective than a tweet

Songs don’t matter in the grand scheme of things

*which makes them money, while tweets don’t

there’s no reason that people with platforms shouldn’t be using those platforms to speak up right now

let’s hold black people accountable instead of white people who haven’t said anything that can actually speak to the people on the other side

hold them all accountable. especially hold the white people profiting off black music accountable

she’s not saying tweeting is gonna make a huge difference btw. she’s saying speaking out about it is the BARE MINIMUM thing to do, and they’re not even doing that

You can share useful links in them, so yeah, they matter more than a rapper selling you rhymes for 9.99

Damn. I guess all rappers should just quit making music and just post on social media instead.

Some rappers would put their mysterious social media persona above tweeting about this tho, she right on that part
