    everybody played

same tournament rules except play in which is now a staple and brings playoff enviornment to consisrently low seeding teams who arent taking showing effort

top nba players live lavish respectfully 24/7 that argument was always stupid

the number one factor was crowd. only other factor was sleep. but again both these things seem to have only brought the best out of every player.

seems cheap to not call it a valuable ring, if anything it has a different but equally meaningful championship from one of the most competitive leagues in sports.

need an advanced stats nerd to see if bhbble was inflated

  • Jan 13, 2024

the conference finalists of the bubble have all proven to be great high seeding teams.

say what you want about the heat and giannis was injured but they did go thru a tough east to match up with nuggets, arguably best team with best player in the league rn

    celtics are celtics

    bucks have a ring now

i dont see any players or teams in the bubble who was performing unlike they have in the bubble tbh

If there’s “no pressure” like you say, that means that everyone on the basketball court is playing at their full potential and not influenced negatively or positively by the crowds.

Basically it’s a completely even playing field and we’re seeing guys who otherwise would shrink underneath the bright lights; become gods all of the sudden. If it’s such an easy ring to get why didn’t your favorite team win it

  • Jan 13, 2024

Because players didn’t have to deal with traveling during the playoffs it’s seen as easier?

I don’t get why ppl hate this

    Does MJs 3 peat count

    • no crowd
    • no pressure

Plus it had players like McCollum playing very unusual. Not like their typical output at all.

    S*** doesn’t count.

I think Celtics, lakers, nuggets, heat all meeting up again in the conference finals this past year gives it more legitimacy.

You’re wrong. The same way that crowds and hostile environments can negatively impact a players game, it can also get other guys fired up and make them perform even better.

Playing in an empty gym with zero energy was not beneficial for all players. It was beneficial for players who are more comfortable playing in empty gyms.

It was not the typical NBA playoff environment. There was no travel, there were no home court advantages, there were no crowds, and the gyms were enclosed which affected depth perception of the hoop.

Some guys played worse, some guys played insanely well. But it was anything but the “purest nba basketball” as many Bronsexuals try to claim

Lebron and the lakers won something over there. I can admit that. But whatever they won wasn’t an NBA championship.

I’m only going based off of the things that the actual players have said. As far as I know, the majority of those who participated in the bubble, especially the higher level players who contribute the most to their teams success will tell you the same thing that I just said, and many are on record saying that.

As far as athletes using a crowd to their advantage and having that help them reach another level of play, I can see where you’re coming from, and an intense crowd is what helps foster the classic “playoff/finals atmosphere”. I somewhat agree

But if we’re done harping on that point, what else do you have? “No travel” is completely irrelevant and only adds to my point. Nobody gets “fired up” knowing they have to wake up at 6 AM to catch a flight to LA after practice that day lmao, definitely an even playing field there.

And “affected depth perception of the hoop” is insane, you’re suggesting that the only time these players play basketball is in a packed arena and they never have closed practices in empty gyms😂😂. The only time they shoot hoops is during game day? that’s an insane reach, cmon now.

And if you want to do the bitter discrediting of championships thing, we can lay out every championship of the past 20 years and start making up fake ass reasons in the same vein as “affected depth perception of the hoop” lmaooo
