Except that they check the source and corroborate the story

When there’s obvious holes they aren’t gonna run it

They literally interviewed the dude who had the laptop and found a ton of inconsistencies

It would be irresponsible for them to run that story

Except they absolutely dont check the sources for the NYT articles and others on that side lmao

That job is left to the news corporations except in this case where a popular news media company was censored by social media companies

Like bro Twitter literally changed their guidelines after blocking this story because they knew they were in a dangerous legal position because of that 😭😭 Recognizing this as a case of horrible censorship dont mean that u gotta like or support Trump lol u can accept the facts while still going against him 😭😭

the unfortunate truth is voting for Trump won't fix the overwhelming corruption in the media nor biases of mainstream institutions. in fact it will probably make it worse as institutions get even more deranged to undermine branches of government who in reality aren't doing jack s*** but posting stupid s*** on twitter then not following up on it. yeah look at the GOP for proof of this. Hawley talks big talk about social media on twitter but then refuses to subpoena companies in his chair position and softballs Google employees but then goes back to complaining about them. there is no winning situation.
All the pros of bidens are canceled out by his cons and it's really the same with trump. If you're a single issue voter, then you can probably pick trump or biden easier off of that. If you aren't you're just screwed. That's why if you are going to vote, just vote so you can get involved in local and state politics which matter far more. Look at, idk, weed in colorado being legal despite being federally illegal, or if you care about immigration, states like CA refusing to help ICE and passing more sanctuary acts. State legislature matters regardless of your view and is probably the only place where you can actually get s*** done; wider federal institutions are f***ed no matter what and no one's fixing it with a vote, no less a binary one.

NY Post isn’t a good media source

They’re racist and don’t even check their news not to mention Murdoch regularly uses it to push his own agenda

  • Oct 22, 2020

Literally people at the NY Post itself disputed the story

  • Oct 22, 2020

you’re literally favoring one propaganda over the other rn and don’t even know it society is gonna collapse either way tho so this election is like choosing a fast death or a slow, less painful one

Even if you believe right-leaning sources are primarily unsourced and biased, I don't really see how someone can deny more institutions (particularly social media) lean more democrat than republican currently. I don't mean this in a left v right way particularly; obviously institutions/corporations don't really support "the far left" boogeyman, but they certainly overwhemingly support neoliberal corporatism - in whatever current form that takes. At the moment this leans toward more "liberal" DNC-adjacent sources than the right, but I can guarantee you if it pivoted and started inversely being the right supporting banks and businesses and not the democrats, then the censorship would inversely change. US Republicans - not the politicians, but pundits and regular users - are overwhemingly anti-institution atm (in every form), including anti-bank, anti-big tech, etc. and of course they're going to be s*** by these same institutions. People on the left who hold similar anti-institutional views - I don't know, Glen Greenwald, are certainly affected by this type of bias too; it's not just a right v left or rep vs dem thing, although it currently seems to take that form. Like...of course big tech doesn't want trump to win, it has nothing to do with him being a republican. It has to do with him continually posturing hes gonna regulate the f*** out of them. If it was a leftist president or candidate doing the same I guarantee you they'd be censored too. Its not that corporations lean left inherently, but that the current flanderization in the US of what is considered "left" is very bank and corporate friendly and that is obviously being promoted because it plays into that class's interest in the institutions they control. When this swaps back to the right eventually I would expect to see the inverse, i.e. what happened during Occupy Wallstreet about a decade ago.

Second paragraph is real as f***

Make your place on earth a better one, don't wait for the federal government to do it for you, or you may never see it. Progress happens very, very slowly in this country on a national level, more so now that we've never been more divided.

Frankly, there is too much political and economic diversity across the rural and urban parts of the country for everyone to get what they want. The interests of a family in Wyoming are miles away from those of my own family in SoCal. It becomes very clear how necessary local changes truly are.

However, there is one thing most of us can agree on: sound, respectable leadership is important. And that's really why Trump is struggling. Even the old ass motherfuckers who supported him are getting tired of his shtick and just want a decent dude in charge.

  • Oct 22, 2020

mfs think asking him, the US f***ing president, direct questions about policy is equivalent to a damn ambush and you saying the media is too hard on him? the same man that refused to have a virtual debate while he was very much covid+ and was then gifted free airtime on a competing network? that man? the one that was big-uppin Fox News for 3 years but then started slandering them because a few reporters decided not to give him softball coverage and ran to OANN?

    Yea I mean I agree
I think it’s in publications interests to be anti-trump
I think there is a difference though. Some of these stories are genuinely election interference s***. If it swings back I’m sure they’ll be way stricter with shaky left news but it’s harder for them to outright censor it when it’s less blatantly false
