first half of 2021 and second half of 2020 have been absolutely lackluster for new Nintendo games so im hoping we see Metroid Prime 4, a new AAA 3D Kirby game and a new AAA 3D Donkey Kong and Super Mario Odyssey 2

none of these games are 9/10

With mario golf and game builder garage also coming

Usually nintendo's first halves are relatively weak compared to their second halves so i expect great things from this E3

I think people get this idea that nintendo operates the same as Microsoft and Sony releasing only blockbusters with insane budgets but in actuality nintendo is really varied in their propositions, giving you breath of the wild but also DC super heroes girls or whatever its called, cause they try to cater to all their demographics. So naturally people wont like everything they put out but this proposition works the best cause it makes more people happy.

This doesnt mean you're wrong and im right, everyone should have an opinion on something whether it be positive or negative, its just some thoughts on what type of games nintendo releases and how we as fans see their lineups

And to follow my post, a lot of people want nintendo directs to cater specifically to them, so when this obviously doesnt happen there's always insane outrage. Nintendo doesnt have an homogeneous fanbase, id argue they have the most varied demographics of the big 3, so the direct needs to address them all. Like i remember people being disappointed at splatoon 3 being the last announcement when splatoon 2 sold 10 million+ copies, its an important series to them whatever you think about it

okay but the last big AAA game from Nintendo that wasn't a port or spin-off was Animal Crossing lol and we have people begging for Zelda HD ports and we have a remake of Pokemon Gen 4 coming for the rest of 2021

we really need BOTW2 or some big AAA Nintendo game(s) for the fall or 2021 is a flop for Nintendo

Splatoon 3 and Pokemon LA being in 2022 doesnt look good for 2021 if BOTW2 is also coming that year

I think ppl are disappointed because it’s still a game that has had a lot of recent attention. Meanwhile Metroid, F Zero, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, etc. get kicked to the wayside

Doesnt that excite you tho lol the 2nd half is the one usually packed for nintendo so us not knowing basically anything is exciting

But splatoon is a series that got immediate success and its only one announcement. I can get the disappointment but its an important series deserving of a big announcement. Anyways, a 2d metroid and new dk have been rumoured for a long time, hopefully we see them next week!

i thought i was gonna miss it completely cause i’d be medically knocked out but it looks like i may be done before 12:00

It probably is BOTW2 related, but just be wary guys it could also be AoC DLC garbage as well so temper expectations.

They had it ready to go but are holding on it because MP4 development restarted

It seems like we probably know what most of what Nintendo will be doing for E3 but I’m sure they’ll be a surprise or two we don’t expect to happen
