Heard a lot about how the Wii-U is apparently the Goat system for R.O.M.s. Might have to take mine out of storage & mod it
DO IT especially if you already have one
You can play every Nintendo game through Wii U basically including Native GameCube support as they left the tech in from Wii and just changed a "1" to a "0"
I was downloading hella Wii games and playing them with my friends it was a great time nothing beats free games lol
also it was dope being able to play on my TV in my room then turn it off and play it in bed like a handheld
yeah makes sense tbh
Laptops are way bigger than the switch handheld, so maybe it would be harder to implement all that. We'll see, im just speculating and i could be completely wrong. The only thing im sure about is we'll get better hardware
Wii u's failure wasnt really because of it being underpowered imo, but yeah nintendo is known for releasing underpowered hardware, at least since the wii. I believe with this revision we'll get botw2 running at 1080p @ 30fps with maybe dlss (if its there and if botw2 supports it) upscaling to 1440p @ 60fps when docked, while most games on handheld would be native 720p @ 30/60 fps, which technically would still be underpowered but good enough for the type of system it is
this makes the most sense tbh
im into gaming and i never really knew what exactly a Wii U was till 2 years ago lmfao
going back and watching the commercials is hilarious because even they didnt know how tf to market it
swear at some points my fam thought it was just a Wii with a new add-on "don't you got a wii already???"
swear at some points my fam thought it was just a Wii with a new add-on "don't you got a wii already???"
yup that is exactly what me and all my friends thought it was
worst part is if i knew what it was i wouldve gotten it and loved it at the time prob
it isnt hard to go look at the power of Nvidia's newer chipsets lol put one of these in a Switch with the right CPU, cooling, battery and 128gb flash storage is for sure going to bring Xbox One X levels of performance to the Switch
the issue i have is joy-cons lol, i dont want ANOTHER s***ty pair so maybe i just wont even touch them on the new upgrade
https://twitter.com/never_released/status/1319224051747999745I heard this Orin chip is a beast, but knowing Nintendo and their general lack of focus on power has my expectations pretty low. I like their games, but for once just give me a powerful console, with or without the gimmicks. I know y'all are creative with your consoles but I just want the JUICE every once in a while. Give me power!

the newest macbook air and dell xps 13 from 2 years ago are waaaay more powerful than the OG Switch and they are way thinner too, they just have a bit more surface area
just wait for the public Orin chip benchmarks
the new Switch's only selling points are better hardware in every way
Been thinking about picking up Pokemon Sword. Haven't played one since the GBC lol
Been thinking about picking up Pokemon Sword. Haven't played one since the GBC lol
I also skipped a decade+ of games and didn’t enjoy sword
we all know who the real best dog with a sword is

Damn. That bad?
Been thinking about picking up Pokemon Sword. Haven't played one since the GBC lol
Bad idea no cap
If you really haven’t played since GBC u have to play the DS and 3DS titles
Sword and shield have been mostly regarded as meh
Pokémon been going downhill since it’s DS
Damn. That bad?
Shield was truly terrible for me. They were clearly just made to sell merch.
I made it through the entire game without losing a single battle, and it’s not like I was grinding, either. It’s completely mindless.
A lot of the most recent monsters have terrible design, too. There are really no redeeming qualities.
I never played Pearl and Diamond, but they’re getting remakes this year, and people seemed to love that gen, so that might be your best bet for a nostalgia trip.

Diamond and Pearl remakes seem to be everything we all want, perhaps the core series with Gen 9 will be isometric and keep the classic mechanics but in new regions
and then Pokemon Legends will be the open world A-RPG core series game that people dreamt of for years
Mario 3d all stars or Animal Crossing
Two completely different games but I’m thinking of copping one
Locked article on bloomberg saying botw2 launching alongside switch pro 2nd half of 2021 with other software
Also stating switch pro should be as powerful as a ps4pro/xbox one x at best, which isnt bad at all imo.
Article isnt up yet but should be soon, interesting news all around, dont know if its just speculation but its bloomberg, not your average twitter "insider"
F***
If the Switch is close to PS4-PRO or somewhere close to it.... that’s a f***in game changer
Nintendo hasn’t been in the power / graphics race since GameCube era
That’s so exciting
Maybe BOTW2 is the reason Nintendo thinks they’ll sell the same amount of Switches this year as last year
But I still definitely think a new Switch / BOTW2 is still a 2022 thing
Man that kind of power would exceed my expectations, so I won't be expecting PS4Pro or X1X levels, even at best. I'd be happy if it has the power of a regular PS4 Slim, but I doubt even that
I mean the kind of third party ports we get currently on the Switch are Xbox 360 / PS3 era games and some current gen s*** that aren’t too taxing on the Switch
So the fact the next Switch might at the very least be the power of an Xbox One / PS4 isn’t that much of a stretch IMO
tell me this wouldn't sell millions at 399 USD:
brand new 7-inch Switch with the power of an Xbox One is being revealed in 2021 and will be out March 2022 with Zelda BOTW2, Pokemon Legends and Splatoon 3 as the big 3 launch titles
Facts
I’m copping day 1 if we get this
we could also get more third party AAA ports or exclusives that we missed like DBZ Kakarot
Cyberpunk 2077 Switch port when
Mario 3d all stars or Animal Crossing
Two completely different games but I’m thinking of copping one
3D Allstars for sure
Mario 3d all stars or Animal Crossing

def the one you can only buy for like 10 more days

animal crossing is a slow ass grind
I'd say 3d world if you've never played. animal crossing is played it short bursts
def the one you can only buy for like 10 more days
I bet they’ll drop the 3 separately for like $10/$30/$40 each. Mario 64 was $10 on the Wii U store.
I’ve played all 3 Mario’s before, years ago, back on the N64-GC-Wii. Sunshine was my s***
