it isnt about skill dude
part of being a good porting company is seeing your limits before you bother, there was plenty of games they couldnt port because the resolution and frames wouldnt suffice
and they overshot their capability for that big fat EA battle royale bag...
if u cant see that or admit it then idk lol
I mean yeah people work because they get paid for it, its not like they're willing to port everything either, they've said they dont plan to port every 3rd party. They're like the only ones outside of 1st parties who know how to work on the switch hardware

does DQ11S count as first party?
there's actually a few more than just PB
the Overwatch and Diablo 3 ports are fire
whoever ported Civ6 deserves an award
there's also MK11
also the Spyro and Crash ports are 100%
cant forget the Assassins Creed ports either
looks like Panic Button isnt the only good one after all lol they are just a team that dont actually make a catalog of their own games and all they do is port lately
whereas some of these other ports are often done inhouse
but still 3rd party ports on Switch
dawg its 1 hour 36 minutes long and a picture as the content
what do i do
It’s a podcast I throw it on while doing other stuff

Yeah you're right, i should've worded it better. DQ11 and crash were so great, and crash 4 in particular you can see how much work they're putting in porting it. There's a limit to the games that can be ported tho, and as years pass that limit becomes more apparent. If not this yeah i hope we get some sort of substantial update next year, not only third parties get harder to port but nintendo itself is getting more ambitious with their games and that leads to games not running at an ideal framerate (bowser's fury for example)

and as i said, knowing the limit is part of being a team that makes ports
PB had 1 slip but the rest are prestine
just played my first game of apex on switch and came in first
pretty cool port tbh especially when laying in bed or something
JULY 9TH MONSTER HUNTER STORIES 2 FINALLY
Dumb question but does the Monster Hunter Stories series need to be played with a party like the rest of the games or is it more single player oriented?

The 3ds one is 100% single player. Its basically Pokemon but grown up with the aesthetic & creatures of MH (still has a child-like wonder charm to it & still rated e tho).
The sequel thats coming out has an option for multiplayer, but it is still single player focused & still turn-based.
U can play reg MH singleplayer btw, thats what i do mostly & ive been playing since psp on and off, but yeah i dont disagree its party focused overall, especially for end game stuff.
In world & rise tho they have tuned singleplayer a lot to work well with the main & post story.
I play the endgame mostly single as well, but that is for sure party focused & when it gets really brutal. And if you do have too much difficulty, you can always join a random party at any time to tackle hunts or shoot a flare to request assistance during a hunt from someone searching online.
Randos are encouraged in MH too unlike most other communities with online games.

Ahh okay, thanks for the well informed response. I tried the Demo for generations and didn't really enjoy the gameplay but Stories seems like a lot more my speed!

Nvidia ending tegra x1 production, we're definitely getting better hardware, at this point probably next year

This basically means that the original Switch based on the X1 chip won't be produced anymore which means a replacement is def coming

If what they're saying is true then yes, we're getting a better hardware
