Slippi is not a necessity though, the risk was there from the start, and sure Slippi might not be illegal but it doesnt have to be supported by Nintendo no matter how anyone feels, thats just objectively valid

I won’t disagree that I contributed to anti-consumerism but now I’ve seen the light and am drawing the line.

I spend hours on hours watching Melee tournaments and now they are actively trying to hurt the Melee scene again so this is where I draw the line. I will not buy another Swirch game until they fix their actions.

Might even buy the new Xbox just to spite Nintendo.

Melee is 20 years old and still fun. Ultimate is two years old and boring and stale to play with awful online.

well thats not true actually and not just for the sake of arguing but yeah, each entrant is not using the ISO from their specific disk which means they are using a pirated distribution copy

but thats honestly petty of Nintendo if each entrant does own a physical it shouldnt matter
