yes @Bliss Animal Crossing is in the top 5 of Nintendo's franchises but the POINT is that they just had a new title and their free summer DLC packs 1 and 2 lol how much more does Nintendo need to give to Animal Crossing fans before we get new information or another teaser BOTW2 and those Mario Remakes because both of those franchises are much larger than Animal Crossing

also it's almost like Bayonetta3 is also never gonna come out either lol i expected SOMETHING by now and Platinum were talking so highly all year and all they have to show is that cheap Wonderful 101 game

5 of my friends copping launch PS5 just for Outriders, Deathloop and Spider-Man Morales and the rest are copping XSX or XSS just for Halo and that Grounded game, and i think most wanna try Cyberpunk and Valhalla too

that alone is enough money and time spent for most people this holiday
it's almost as if Nintendo is choosing to take the back seat..

i think youre underestimating next gen console releases especially during the holidays (Nintendo was March)

a TON of kids haven't had a new console since 2013-2015 and we saw how social media made those console releases sooo hype, everybody will want one at launch, just like the last 3 generations

Nintendo needs to play this right. If you group Crown Tundra, a popularly desired Smash fighter, holiday Animal Crossing updates AND those 3D Mario remakes you will still see Xbox and Sony dominate the Holiday season

Nintendo already said Animal crossing will be getting free updates throughout 2020, 2021 and 2022

This isn’t “getting in the way” of their other announcements or releases, it’s just always going to be happening in the background for years to come

Bayonetta 3 will probably get a new trailer and release date in the next direct, platinum never finished announcing the 4 announcements, remember? Instead they put made a joke for the 4th announcement (on April fools or something like that)

Also animal crossing new horizons had a bigger launch than botw and super Mario odyssey lol

On one hand I'm sad Bayo3 is taking this long, on the other hand I'm glad they're taking their time because Bayonetta 2 suffered from development problems and almost got cancelled. You can tell things are a bit rushed in the game. The game is too similar to Bayo 1 in a lot of aspects but does it worse aside from artstyle.

1. it's not about getting in the way, my point was that all i've seen lately from Nintendo is Animal Crossing, Paper Mario and Pokemon

2. just because it had a bigger launch doesn't mean its a bigger franchise though

Animal Crossing isn't even close to Zelda or Mario

There’s not going to be a second announcement trailer lol... they’re gonna wait until they’ve finalized the release date to talk about the game and show it off more

Teasing a game that’s already been announced without final details would be kinda annoying , nintendo avoids stuff like that especially because “delays” have a big impact on Nintendo’s stock like when they announced animal crossing too early and gave us a date of 2019

after announcement trailers sometimes they'll often give cinematic story trailers detailing wtf is going on in the game + a release date or a release window

but no gameplay is required for anyone to be hype...we just wanna know what these games are about lol

i do expect this type of content in the next Direct i just dont know when i expect the next Direct to happen and voicing frustration that it's already July 2020 with only 4 months until November....

usually detailed follow up trailers like that won’t happen until they’re ready to announce the date or have announced the release date just beforehand

I want to hear a release date and then maybe a direct to show it off

so then take in that it's july 2020 and we're 4 months away from November releases (sometimes the last release of the year happens in November not December)

yeah they’ll announce those games very soon, the only reason they hadn’t already is most likely because covid impacted e3 which is when they probably would’ve had a direct showing off the Fall/winter 2020 release schedule

exactly which usually happens June 9th so if we don't get the Direct this week they lost an entire month's worth of market planning and advertising

and if we don't the direct next week they're on the way to losing 2 full months of advertising for their Holiday 2020 release(s)

which leads me to believe we'll be getting the Super Mario Collection for sure and that's all since they dont need to detail much about the stories

Botw2 marketing started over a year ago

It hasn’t stopped and they don’t need to keep updating us, the hype is and will forever be on 10 for that game after that cinematic trailer

idk how Nintendo's investors will feel about them releasing a game in 4 month's time without telling anybody that's going to happen lol

Nintendo already placed botw2 on their earnings call for this fiscal year

So their investors were told months ago
