How is Diablo 3? Always wanted to play it since it seems right up my alley but I've never played a top down MMO (ish) RPG. The loot looks fye
definitely pick it up and give it a shot, with 7 classes and a seasonal cycle its basically an endless grind but the gameplay is fun enough to justify it especially during quarantine. you can get it fairly cheap too even with switch tax considered (i got my copy ~70% off) and the portability is GOAT
What y'all currently playing during this quarantine (beside AC) ? After completing my Pokédex in Shield think i'm gonna finish Xenoblade
Played Botw on my brothers switch so now I'm running through it on master mode
Need to spend some time on Astral Chain tho

got a check from my school for corona relief and copped Xenoblade 2, Astral Chain, God Eater 3, Trials Rising, and Levelhead
currently going through astral chain a case a day though since its finals week for me, but after that hoping these games last me awhile
Been putting an ungodly amt of hours into diablo 3 during quarantine, got a character for every class this season
i put a good amount of hours into this a couple years ago on my ps4, really waiting for it to go on sale digital before i cop again but how does this run when you get into the higher torments?

been playing Animal Crossing on a day by day basis no timeskips, RE: Revelations 2 forgot how fun raid mode online was on there, and Pokemon Shield just caught the gigantamax pikachu for a limited time running rn.
between that I still got to complete the dragon's dogma campaign i just started.

you mean like graphics / performance wise? its probably better on the ps4 but switch is undefeated with handheld mode and it does good enough imo. in online you might get lag and rubberbanding if you get matched with a poor connection but thats probably the same on any platform.

Metroid Prime 4 is a long ways off. They are still hiring people to work on that game. Expect it in 2024.

they switched studios but maintained a lot of the direction the game was headed in, only had to "restart development from the top" to assure quality but that's like tracing versus freehand drawing and reissuing native assets, Retro is top tier dev studio im sure they are able to surprise you
they didnt have to remake the engine they're using or a ton of the assets they started with
Retro hired Halo and Crysis devs months ago to help finish development in 2020 which means the game would be out in 2021
there's a chance that they have 30 seconds of story and 30 seconds of gameplay and an official release window for the next Direct in order to please investors who have sunk money since 2016
Tony Hawk 1+2 HD feels perfect for the Switch but it’s not coming.
Some companies make weird decisions.
just finished Torna DLC and XC2 NG+ at the start of quarantine
then i played Trials of Mana and gave it a 6.5/10
Currently playing XC2 and enjoying it so far.
I played XCX on the Wii U and really enjoyed it. Hoping they port it over one day!

Based on the earnings call, could be scheduled for early 2021 actually, maybe March or April
But I bet they’ll hire people and work on it for as long as they can, like right up to the release date
Common practice, even for games that don’t switch teams actually. For instance, ghost of Tsushima was hiring people in late 2019 and the game is coming out in July 2020

They can just drop it right now and patch it up in future updates
The way game development works is complex, bliss. For instance, you could have all the levels in the game completed, but the cutscenes haven’t been finished so you need to hire artists and others around making cinematics. This is often done so you can test early builds of the game with players.
That was a small example but same goes for voice acting, writing, some of the animations that weren’t crucial to the early years of game design, and random other s***. Maybe in most of 2019 they built most of the levels and in 2020 they’re finishing off other aspects of the story, cinematic cutscenes, etc. and in late 2020 early 2021 they’ll do final polishes.
