AC is a masterpiece, up there with Mario and Zelda imo but less popular

I’ve never played AC myself but I am beyond hyped. It’s like everything is coming together perfectly for my first experience. Switch seems to be the perfect hardware for this game. To me, it doesn’t seem as attractive docked but boy I can see myself playing the heck out of it in portable mode.

Well if you’re going off of what you’ve seen on YouTube just remember that the quality of the image is compressed when it is uploaded to YouTube from their recording software, so when you play it IRL on your own tv in docked mode, it will look far better than watching a YouTube video of AC gameplay on your tv

The trailers on the eshop suffer the same compression and loss of quality

Oh I’m sure the game will look gorgeous docked. I’ll dock it just to marvel at scenery from time to time. However looks is not that important to me. Accessibility and convenience is, handheld mode does that best for me.
