What games do you use a gamecube controller for?

I haven’t tried it with all games but I only use it for Smash, Mario Kart, and Rocket League. All 3 games the gamecube controller is the most optimal way to play.

I know from experience that it works with Super Monkey Ball and Mario + Rabbids as well but M+R is not optimal with a GC controller. Monkey Ball felt the same with Gamecube controller vs Joycons.

GC controller is definitely optimal with Mario Kart as well. Especially since it’s been the most optimal way to play since DoubleDash. I guess if you haven’t been playing MK before now then it might not feel optimal.

DoubleDash it was your only option, Wii it was the best option if you were actually competitive at the game, same with MK8 on the WiiU.

It’s definitely the best way to play for MK8D if you have been playing the previous entries of the game.

Joycons and pro controllers work for MK but they aren’t optimal if you have grown up playing the last 3 home console entries of MK

A gamecube control does have limited use though but I find it perfectly fine to use Joycons for games where a gamecube controller does not work or isn’t optimal. @jawnz
