Flyknit tech is still around all over Nike. Still odee shoes using flyknit like free runs, Pegasus turbo, vapor max, etc
The tech is definitely still relevant. It’s just that they aren’t making the trainer and racer models anymore
I’m 100% certain they will come back eventually. They are way too impactful and completely revolutionized running shoes in fashion
Need the white trainers back. Beautiful shoe

I’m sure Nike cooking up all kinds of dope s*** for the 2028 Olympics in LA
Flyknit trainer was originally the shoe for Olympic atheletes in 2012 so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s one part

I really loved that era of shoes because it felt like they truly pulled off minimalism while also innovating.
Most the time people will just do the same old heritage products when claiming they're minimalistic. The Racers, Trainer and - I like to put in the Mercurial Flyknit highs as well - all provided a 'sock shoe' type fit that would be comfy, form fitting but also variable in colour/pattern via flyknit.
the Yeknit black and white weaving looked like something you can only get out of the flyknit technology and it looked so damn good. (Although I guess now Byborre is weaving stuff like that but not for shoes)
