DB Kai was getting terrible ratings due to the lack of promotion and the constant moving of it's time slot. Just because YOU watched it on Nick does not mean it was getting proper promotion. The same thing happened to Power Rangers, hence why Hasbro ended it's broadcasting contract with Nick and now PR is a Netflix exclusive. If it's not Spongebob or the Loud house Nick doesn't give a damn about it's third party shows.

Nick moved DB Kai to Nicktoons to die. In fact the final season of DB Kai didn't even air on Nick. It aired on the new toonami. Toonami did DBZ justice. You're misremembering things. Nickolodeon holds no rights and never did have the DB franchise either way. Funimation/Sony owns the DB franchise rights outside japan and always has.
