yo whos that?
thats SALEM.
thats my girlfriend.
you stay the f*** away from her alright????
100%
But its only because the beats dont leave a lot of room for rapping.
There are some exceptions to this though like MBDTF and TPAB
you can do anything over a beat!!! i think they just become too much of a conductor and forget what they started with. go produce a soundtrack or something, s*** is too self indulgent when you're trying to balance the two
aye man that nigga was barring tf up!!!!!!
wolf was the peak of his rapping because it was the perfect balance of story telling and edgy bars with a splash of introspection. cowboy is just probably my favorite example of this the last verse is simply pefect not a bar wasted
I'm never civil F*** Lincoln
Preme out the bag it's no wrinkles
I'm okie dokie and loopy
And b***oo nana and caca
If you think I'm f***ing cuckoo
Try talking to my shrink then
This part really ruins that verse for me, i love the song but if im just taking the rap by itself
i think for me i like when tyler is focused i think a lot of the humor on Goblin-CB was cool but always took away from how much i loved the raps. B****** that nigga was 17 and dead f***ing serious, B****** is such a special album bc its the only tyler album we have where tyler was really dealing with struggle and worry. He wasnt rich on Goblin but he knew he was gonna be
ye was so ass
I didnt even like KSG
I really dont get people who call that album a classic when its the worst cudi and ye collabs besides reborn
Welcome To Heartbreak, Paranoid, Wylin Cus Im Young is what i woulda wanted from KSG
if i was ever reminded of kanye on this i was thinking wow why isn't charlie wilson doing these vocals instead of teezo touchdown

bro that scheme is so insane omgggggggggg
yea b****** is absolutely insane i was listening to wheels like daaaaaaaaaaaamn odd toddlers daaaaaaaaamn
what i wanna see from tyler is a mature version of wolf, with a interesting story to get hooked into. tyler aint really ever struggle as an adult so hearing his perspective on life is just turning me off. i think he shines the most at making worlds people wanna live in and wolf was the only time i felt like he was able to make a fully realized version of that dream he had. really wanna see that bad fr maybe imma just have to make it

I do share the sentiment that Tyler doesn’t have much more to really say besides his dating life. Which is dope, I hope to be at a place in life where who im dating is my biggest concern
But I really don’t think songs like Take Your Mask Off is really that dope from tyler, its objectively good but doesnt give me that same feeling as my fav s*** from him.
I honestly think tyler should just lean into his production and get a lot of singers and maybe drop a small verse at the end. Judge Judy to me felt more inspired and dope than Take Your Mask Off even tho TYMO is objectively better. Chromakopia was the PERFECT move for this moment, this was his moment to simply make an album people can enjoy and give him flowers and he executed but i think next he should really try a new album structure
"I tell em to eat a d*** quicker than Mexicans sprint over borders"
I wasn't being serious with this, why are y'all agreeing with me?!
I dont even hate Fantano but Fantano giving KSG a 10 and Ye an 8 after being a Ye hater was my perfect proof that Ye music changed and wasnt for niggas anymore
I wasn't being serious with this, why are y'all agreeing with me?!
BECAUSE THATS REAL RAP NIGGA
Bro he was going f***ing crazy on seven
Still immaculate rapping til this day
B******-Radical tyler was a great run for tyler lyrically. I feel like OF really was inspiring him to put in work with that pen those days
seven is so hard
I wasn't being serious with this, why are y'all agreeing with me?!
s*** hits especially after the “what would you tell him?” on b******
I’m all for objective convos about Tyler he not perfect
But please remember thats my boy fr and s*** can get wicked over bro
lets not do too much
Niggas is lucky tyler blew up at 19 fr
If tyler blew up at 24/25 and had to live life as a normal nigga for a few years he’d be the biggest problem
tylers only issue is his delayed maturity because he got famous right around the time where normal niggas gotta start to grow up
i actually thank god my life slowed down for a couple of years even tho it felt ass at the time
its like i matured 5 years in 2 years, and i have such a clearer vision of how to approach this s*** now

if tyler was more angry and bitter he would have made a great kool keith type album mad about certain artists that he instead collabs and tours with

I think this would've been an interesting topic for this album. Him becoming famous at a young age played a role in his Peter Pan syndrome. His fans know it and can appreciate the growth on this album, but there's a lot of people out there who only hopped on around Flowerboy

do u dislike tyler collabing with other rappers now? just curious
i see that kinda divides people but im so glad he did it and wish he did it earlier, obviously u shouldnt fake f*** with somebody but i feel like tyler was so scared of not being embraced that he refused to embrace the culture for so long, his fear was his biggest issue he was in his own way. i kinda like seeing him come around to it now but i see the other perspective as well

I remember being like 15 and thinking tyler was immature for his age
Its a pros/cons thing for him imo like on one hand his imagination and perspective is a beautiful thing at time but it also is why he has a hard time connecting with people in some very sincere moments

i wouldn't say rappers, i wish he'd collab with more rappers rather than teezo or gambino or even to go back to flower boy steve lacy
i liked igor a lot inbetween cos it felt separate from the outside world of average ass neo soul/alt hip hop whatever u wanna call it
