The Patriots held on to Josh Gordon past the trade deadline, subjecting him to waivers. And a reason for doing that was to keep him from contenders.
So why would a non-contender claim him? Bc if he walks as a UFA in March, such a team could get a comp pick for, in essence, free.
Didn’t the Dolphins just claim someone on waivers? So would they still be first?
Not entirely sure how that works out tbh but I'd assume so

Assuming they don't cancel out that comp pick with their own FA spending. Because that's the funny thing, if he goes to a s***ty team he has no reason to re-sign. Easy thing to say is "franchise tag him" but is a team really going to give Flash franchise tag value with his history? I doubt it. It'll be interesting.

Dolphins wouldn’t be a good fit then. They’ll be spenders in FA
I could see Washington tho

Yeah that's my early guess. If he doesn't go there the next few teams in waiver order don't really have a need there for another receiver so I can see an outside shot for Oakland, but would they want another "question mark" at the WR spot after going through the Antonio Brown situation? Even going a little further back last year they got burnt by Martavis Bryant, so they might be gun shy there.

Nah I disagree here tbh I think Gruden will always kick the tires when it’s talent like that
It's because you posted one of the trigger words to get your emoji, it gives a little special effect on the screen as well
@DonJulio Arizona makes a lot of sense
They do but I think he's gone by then
AB really filled a grievance after asking for his release that’s incredible

Josh Gordon’s release from IR was not made official today. That means the earliest he could land with a new team is Monday, as players waived on Friday and Saturday are eligible to be claimed after games take place on Sunday.
New England playing games again smh
