Glockion a scale of 7-10 how good of a decision is it going to be to hire marvin lewis
It’s tough to say. I think Marvin could have success with a franchise that has more than 2 scouts and has more than proven they’re willing to spend in FA. He has respect from a lot of coaches in the league so he could form a solid coaching staff quickly. He had some very good drafts and very bad drafts but I don’t blame him for the bad drafts that much (the Ogbuehi draft was all Paul Alexander). I imagine he’d have more input on his choices in Jacksonville.
On the other hand, he had obvious flaws in not making 2nd half adjustments, losing in primetime, obviously not winning a playoff game when 4 of those were gimmes for us. People attach that to Dalton but those were problems under Palmer too. He got better with playing rookies his last few years here but still tends to stick to a bad player/veteran cause of “trust”. There’s always a possibility he’ll bring Hue Jackson with him.
I wouldn’t make him a HC unless you guys are that desperate but he should definitely have a NFL job whether that be defensive coordinator or evaluating talent.

The candidate pool looks really bad this year and im afraid if were going to have to pick out of it hes going to be the absolute best we can get tbh
i dont actually want him because for the reasons you list i think theres a ceiling on him, but hes not so bad that i want to die either.
