    Yeah aight lol

You can literally look them up for yourself

Hit rate on WRs with Devonta Smith's build. It's not a difficult thing to google

Nobody is saying he can't be an outlier or that he won't have a successful career. It's just ridiculous to compare a dude whos profile has a 75% hit rate to a guy who is essentially a coin flip

I read a piece of your initial post about him and it sounded like a hit piece lol

You are talking about his height, the fact that he came back his senior year and his weight.

None of that s*** football and it makes you seem like you just hating on him

It's literally all football man I don't know how else to explain it to you

There's nothing wrong with his height. His weight is a problem. WRs with a BMI similar to his are historically extremely underwhelming in the league. He also has a less than ideal breakout age and wasn't an early declare. Using other NFL players who fit that profile, if he was to have multiple WR1 seasons in the league he would be an outlier. I genuinely do not know what you're not understanding about this

You writing this man off before he even plays a down because of his weight, that don't sound stupid?

I literally told you I'm not writing him off

I'm writing him off as the WR1 because Ja'Marr Chase put up 1800 yards and 20 touchdowns as a 6'0 209 19 year old sophomore. Smith could go on to have a fantastic NFL career but he is not the WR1 in this class, not even close

You don't think his weight isn't going to hinder his ability to separate and make contested catches in the league? He isn't going to be lining up against 18-19 year old freshmen anymore. NFL DBs are grown men. 6'1 179 is small in the NFL whether you want to believe it or not. All of the things he excels at in college because measurables don't matter there are going to be considerably harder for him when he gets to the league.

And his speed is a concern for his size. He's currently projected to run in the high 4.4s at 179 pounds. That is not overly fast.

AJ Brown ran a 4.49 at 227. That is a 48 pound difference for a ~0.03-0.05 difference in 40 time. If you're not concerned about that something is very wrong with you

Tbh no. Seperation has little to do with your weight and has more to do with footwork and your ability to change direction/speeds effectively.

Not saying he will be better than chase but i don't like the idea of you basing your idea of who will be better off of height and weight etc

Separation has every bit to do with strength and winning at the LOS as it does with footwork and change of direction

And once again BMI is a fairly accurate predictor of success. Obviously there are outliers but he doesn't profile as a WR1

Naw footwork is way more needed at the line than strength he plays WR not DL

Lynn Swann is not getting anywhere close to the HOF if he played today. Entirely different game

So he's consistently beating press at 179 pounds just off of footwork?
