I don't want to come off as argumentative, nor do I want to keep going back and forth, but her words come off as honest to me. Especially in COVID world. It's possible she wasn't really super interested in the game to begin with, but showed interest cus you were. It's also not unreasonable to not feel like doing something on the day of an obligation, even if it's the next day. Or she anxious about COVID.

If she is really anxious, she probably feels bad about herself, and feels like she's ruining the day for you by not going. It may have been a hard choice, to choose between herself or choose between you.
