He didn't even make any real profit from selling his shares because he got out before the NBA team value inflated

Paid a million dollars to be paraded around as the "face" of the team when the best player they had was Devin Harris lol

    These points aren't mutually exclusive

His job was rebuilding the brand as a means to help lure talent in.

    This isn't really true

The plans to build Barclays outdate Jay's ownership stake and that's what won the bid

He helped calm the residents who were protesting and saying the arena was further gentifying BK

Team would of moved regardless but he helped PR

Off being a famous rapper with connections to athletes

And don't say he got those connections with athletes through his "ownership stake" because if so they would of signed with the Nets most of their biggest signings are outside of basketball anyway

He made a business move because player contracts contracts were starting to get crazy around that time and he wanted a piece.

His popularity played a part in it but when you talking money, it has to be more than just a friend ship. He showed athletes that he can maneuver the landscape of old white men lol

At the time, he nabbed arguably the biggest mlb star who fired his agent for roc nation!

You said some of those players would have went to the nets? Who you think kyrie is signed to
