I doubt the Chiefs ability to construct a Superbowl level roster for the entirety of Mahomes' contract, especially further down the road when it starts to count for much more against the cap. They've done a great job of drafting in the past few years, but it's nearly impossible to maintain that level of drafting over a decade.

I also think other teams will get better. We'll never see another situation like the Patriots where for 20 consecutive years there wasn't a single competent QB in the entire division other than Brady.

I think 2 more rings is very possible, 1 more is very likely, and anything past that would require a considerable amount of luck and other factors to go the Chiefs way in any given year. He'll still be the consensus GOAT when it's all said and done regardless of whether he ever wins another one or not

thats the thing to keep in mind, if you have the best team in the NFL you still only have a 25-30% chance of winning the SB because the teams you face in the playoffs will be almost as good as you. so if the chiefs stay this good for 10 more years (which is nearly impossible) they might win 3 more if theyre lucky

in other words, mahomes is good but counting multiple titles before they happen is foolish. that could fall apart on you quick if/when he doesnt repeat next year.

for whatever you can say about mahomes talent, its harder to predict that he will be an iron man bc that is something separate from talent. youre basically saying you think he will start 90% or more of his games for 15+ years which is anyones guess. a lot of guys do it in this day an age, but a lot of guys still get hurt

you win them by the skin of your teeth, usually. thats what makes it hard. if the pats won their 6 by an average margin of 10 points a game then it would be more reasonable to say the chiefs will run up 4+ super bowls in the next 15 years because there would be a precedent. but this is the free agency era and thats not how it goes.
