I think there are two “versions” of what transphobic entails

1. They are violent against trans people, they hate them
2. They are actively engaged in ways that undermine their existence/don’t believe they exist

Ne-Yo may not be the worst of the worst, but you don’t have to be to be transphobic. Similar to racism, sexism, etc etc

That doesn’t mean they have it all figured out though. There’s a massive amount of people that are uneducated about this stuff, transphobes, children and supportive parents included.

This is a wild example but R Kelly's daughter came out as a Trans man and right before surgery decided that they'd stay a woman and be a lesbian. They thought they had to present as male to be accepted.

I support folks getting gender affirming care for sure but if they’re younger I feel like they should undergo assessment and all that

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather someone wait until they were 18 to get a surgery but people (not you specifically) talk about this issue like de-transitioning isn’t very rare, and like there aren’t any protective steps in place at all
