They were always going to lose the court case, it was based on crap the whole time and I still think they will lose in the end. They just got greedy and wanted to do whatever MHJ said lmao. Still love the music but career is probably in the toilet now

I'm pretty well informed on it and Illit wasn't plagiarism and even if they were, in my opinion they both were products of Hybe so as far as I'm concerned they can cannibalize there own market if they want too.

That being said I agree that the adults in there lives all failed them, but at this point most of them are now adults too (only Hyein is under 18) so while I think they were heavily influenced by all the adults in their lives earlier on, they are equally at fault at this point despite the fact they were groomed by MHJ.

Still a massive fan of the music but man they binned their careers for nothing

TLDR: they unilaterally ended there own contracts in December citing mistreatment from Hybe and Ador but Ador said no they still under contract. Newjeans rebranded to NJZ and tried to go independent but Hybe said no they are still contracted and filed an injunction which NJZ lost in Court (basically temporarily ruling that Newjeans is still under Ador and hybe until officially decided in court) as they couldnt prove really anything and if anything Hybe played by the book. Now we are up to the actual court hearing (not the temp injunction) regarding if they are still under contract or not but they presented the same evidence that lost them the injunction (which is likely to lose in court again and allegedly the judge was unimpressed with the evidence in court yesterday).

It's all really because Min Hee Jin (former CEO of Ador) got fired and and she groomed the girls to be like her #1 supporters and beg for her back when she's just a scummy person and Ador didn't hire her back as CEO so the girls decided to go through all this. They could pay the damages and buy out the contract but allegedly this would cost $500 million USD which none of them has obviously.

MHJ also allegedly was trying to steal Ador and NewJeans and take them independent herself, hence why she was fired from her CEO position

I'm still in the belief that they wouldn't try to cannablize one of their own successful and crossover heavy groups just for the sake of it. Was illet formed before or after ador fiasco with their ceo?
