nah honestly im in the same boat. the only thing keeping me there with the team is the fact that after this bullshit ass stretch of baseball against the top 2 teams in the league, we have a bunch of games against the nationals and marlins.

and knowing this divison, if we're still only like 4 games back by the time we face the Marlins and Nats then I think we could maybe pull off something, that's super wishful thinking tho lmao. September doesn't look too awful for us.

the thing about the team rn is that we're actually competing with these top of the league level teams. (except for that last 14-4 against the dodgers but that was to be expected tbh)

if our offense could literally average 4 - 4.5 runs a game (rn we are 28th in the league at 3.75. 5 runs a game gets u in the top 8) we would be decimating the league and we would be looked at as a serious contender for the World Series.

That’s what makes it more frustrating because it’s not like they are getting beat badly besides a game here and there.. but even in that 14-4 game they had opportunities to stay in it until the roof blew off. They just haven’t gotten in done. At this point it’s more mental than anything
