honestly the best coaches availabe are thibs, nurse, kenny atkinson and budenholzer. not against hiring an unknown as it could work out ie Darvin Ham but i would like to give thibs another chance with an actual competent roster. We need a back up big another back up point and another 3 and D player. Miami beat us by letting us shoot and clogging the paint all series. explain what that means then cause it makes literally zero sense. nurse got fired because they failed to be a competitive team. thibs failed this year cause they failed to make it past the second round but we were not even considered to be a high seeded team. thibs is in the hot seat because of his rotations and having a short leash on players and inability to adapt to changes and heavy use of certain players. he doesn’t like to experiment. nurse was fired because of over experimentation with lineups and playcalling, things that would only work with an experienced set of guys. Their reasons for getting fired are completely different.

nurse got fired because of lack of ability to develop new players. thibs is about to get fired because of too much conservativeness on strategy.

nurse would come here with a team with playoff experience and talent. nurses positives are that he put guys in the best position to score and trying more savvy offensive playcalling, something we were absolutely outclassed by from spo. nurse is a tactician when it comes to strategy. thibs strength us to develop players and come up with strategy. the problem with thins is his overreliance on his system and failure to deviate at any point during game.

it takes a lot for thibs to distrust his scheme. he’ll only do so after many games, but he can adjust. the only reason i would want us to keep him is that all he would have to do lose his ego and learn to adjust his game plan more often. i really think spo got to be a great coach after all of the fire he received when the heat lost in 2011, he learned how to be an adaptable and extremely tactical coach that can change to any situation. i say give thibs one more year and if he can’t do this then we should move on
