TLOU2 subreddit is literally just an entire front page of slurs and lgbt-phobic memes. Having issues with how cliche and forced the story is is totally valid but the amount of ppl that are legitimately FURIOUS that there is a game centering lgbt characters is actually ridiculous. Like if it’s done well it will be such an incredibly minute detail of the story that rly is only relevant if you want it to be relevant. Even with the forced religious story line..... who cares if it has lgbt people in it? Why is the representation the problem? Why can’t poor writing be the problem? People are so gross

Extremely heartbreaking and hurtful rhetoric surrounding the game aside, I’m cautiously not out yet. The game itself as far as the actual experience seems very much there, a lot of rly dense gameplay elements and seemingly a very long story. I’m worried about the story legitimately being as bad as it’s made out to be but I think that there’s room for a lot in between the lines that we have in front of us. It’s going to be a huge game.

Even the perspective change could be done very well, it seems weird that it would put us in the shoes of the villain but this is literaly the last of us. no one is a hero and most are a villain in someone’s story. Ellie will probably do some horribly unwarranted s\*\*\* over the course of the story, just like Joel. It’s cliche but that doesn’t really mean it’s bad? It could turn out good or bad imo.!

There’s a lot to worry about but nothing game ruining or dramatic yet, at least not for me personally. I’m happy that bigots are unhappy, at the very least.

F*** what the people wanted. The fans don't want or think about good stories until they get them. If the execution is good I have no problem with the plot points.
If this is a trilogy. I think the setup for the next entry is hard
