Agree with everything you said. I think Illangelo had a big hand in making sure this song got Abel back to his roots as best as you can in 2020. No doubt about that.

It’s definitely top 5-8 post trilogy track. Executed greatly. I’ve tried not overplaying it so I haven’t had the most spins of it. But everytime I listen I am in a trance. Lyrically it might be some of abels finance and the vocal range is also perfectly executed.

I can only hope and pray this tone continues with the entire album. I loved the Star boy single but then the album was a hot mess.

Also good to see you here although I’m very infrequently on here. In fact the only time I’ve been on here is when Abel drops something just to see what the response and attitude to it is like.

yeah that threw me off the first time i heard it. but thats actually welcome because this dudes music used to throw me off all the time so it’s nice having to get used to a new sound from him. it’s been a long time since he’s done that. being said the lyrics in the intro and section are interesting and well put together, a few questionable ones in the main section. hopefully it all ties into the character he’s playing on this album. have a feeling i’ll like it way more listening to the whole album together. also his singing is pretty great on the intro and outro. the bayabee bothers me a little but hes always done that s*** lets be honest.

and also this song doesnt really sound like anything hes ever done so kudos to him for that. i’m excited.
