some pointers

• fbi found no evidence of foul play
• naked boys books were a fan present
• allegations come from the same camp with one of the parents knowingly first letting kids stay there and then coming after him, they were milking this stuff for ages
• mj was robbed of his childhood and abused by his dad which played a part in him ending up in the weirdo territory (not saying that sleeping with children isnt weird but thats not what theyre accusing him of)
• mj was in a massive beef with sony music and its a known secret in the entertainment industry that the whole thing was basically to f*** with his career and make an example out of him because he was getting too independent and didnt wanna play by the industry rules

I grew up in a household where my mom is obsessive MJ fan, and still is to this day. So i grew up most of my life believing he was innocent and framed.

I can agree that maybe he didnt physically touch kids, based on the evidence that is there.

But based on the stuff we do know, absolutely nobody would be fighting tooth and nail to defend innocence for an ordinary guy. Like, if your homeboy had a “art book” of nude children in their possession, theres no explanation he could possibly give you that would ease your mind of thinking he’s a pedo.

On top of that, with MJ ppl ignore behavior that we would rightfully call grooming behavior if it were anyone else. We rightfully call Drake regularly texting a 13YO girl weird. We rightfully call Lewis Carrol’s obsession with a kid weird. But for MJ having sleepovers with young boys is somehow not weird. It’s like suddenly ppl forget, that even if he didnt touch kids, the entire concept of grooming exists. The entire concept of creeps getting gratification through things other than actual physical touch is a thing.
I more so don’t get arguing with ppl who reasonably believe he’s a pedo, when absolutely nobody else would get this charitabilty in the same scenarios lol

MJ exhausted all avenues for a criminal trial to precede a civil one in 1993 before the settlement so this is about as f***ing stupid as it gets

This is just a bare fact powered by usual courtroom/lawyer proceedings that you can use to build any narrative you want out of. Nobody knows what the actual truth is one way or another.

If MJ’s lawyers allowed a civil trial to proceed first, and MJ had to testify under oath, that testimony would then have given the prosecutors in the criminal trial ample time and information to build a strong case around it. And the testimony under oath in the civil trial could not be retracted later.

Jordan’s lawyers also knew this and knew that MJ would have no choice but to settle if the civil trial went first, leaving the ball entirely in their court. It’s also possible they knew that Jordan would refuse to testify in either case, and that a settlement was the only chance for a “win” for them.

As for why Jordan would refuse to testify, you could say it was because the family was lying and knew that the case would be easily disproven, or you could say that he was paid off, or you could say that a traumatized 14 year old didn’t want to continue to be on the world stage talking about his abuse.

People build narratives both ways but that’s honestly all they are.

That doesn’t change anything though. Whether or not Jordan was molested, the civil case going first would be what their lawyers would have advised them because that is much, much worse for MJ and his team of lawyers.

Yes, they did. Which is why when the Arvizos went to the very same lawyer hoping to get the same money, they had to brute force the claims into criminal court and then eventually lost before being convicted for fraud in a separate case.
