after launch they'll add Miles Morales, Deadpool, Wolverine, Red Hulk, a black Captain America and the Thunderbolts
and they'll sell like hot cakes
Marvel has so many iconic characters and I willing to bet we’ll get FF soon too

If you didn’t catch his drift, basically the character drops will probably coincide with the film releases. FF is inevitable
Soulless slop otw

yeah but sometimes that's how this s*** works man, Overwatch has its issues and Valorant is ONLY on PC with characters that nobody gives a f*** about, even some Overwatch characters are known in the mainstream/casual gaming world haha
best example, Fortnite is soulless slop
it's original intension failed completely right out the gate so they used the very loose engine to build a game mode for FREE that was already available as a mod in another game but the timing of gaming PC power and consoles in 2017 was just perfect for the slopfuck explosion of Fortnite
another example of a successful game that made a ton of money in BETA only to have an official release coming soon is that MultiVersus game, that s*** is going to earn so much money it's disgusting
clearly the power of a "quality" (subjective sure) free game under a MASSIVE franchise that has consistent updates goes beyond some of these KTT user's understanding - so many people are going to want to buy these new characters and to try all the new maps and modes very bad lol
and in the end for the price of $0.00 like Fortnite we can play a new hype game with our casual gaming friends that may have never tried a hero shooter but are Marvel fans, idk man this seems like a WIN WIN and something that would have legs on it
oh yeah also how its 3rd person completely, whereas Overwatch and Valorant and Paladins were not

I 100% agree with you btw
This s*** will be slop incarnate but I’ll still be playing it off the strength of my love for both (early) OW and marvel lmao I’m part of the problem
Especially since it’s free. This will be massive you’re a fool if you think otherwise

Dude said multiversus was successful this is a thread of absolute delusion lmao

they took it down because of choice lmao it never even left beta you absolute goof rat :( the game made so much money in so little time and wasn't even using NEW servers (warner bros games had it loaded on already rented servers for other games/services) and it had popularity without the McDonalds collabs and whatever else is next
people will have a f***ing computer in their pockets and still not know anything about a topic and then go on discussion boards/forums "sharing their opinions" on stuff - i rly cant get over that

i'm a part of the problem too haha whatever i guess - we won't be anything but bitter if we argue against it at this point and if it truly isn't a good game it won't last, the mechanics have to be there

80%+ population drop in a matter of 2 months lmao that game was not ‘successful’ and you can make whatever excuses you want for why they shut down but to act like population wasn’t a factor is also delusional
Most games release in beta or stay in ‘beta’ form indefinitely that word means nothing in today’s landscape. Tarkov is still in ‘beta’ all these years later
Go back to making snide and deflective posts like the one before cause the points you make are total nonsense

In March 2024, it was announced that MultiVersus would relaunch on May 28, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It will feature full cross-play and cross-progression support, and include a new PvE game mode. For the full launch, Player First Games moved the game to Unreal Engine 5.
PvE and the engine change to UE5 - man if these aren't reasons for why the game went away for a bit then you are the one that makes absolutely no sense
your salty opinions about games are not needed here my dude, go get you some facts

Yes and they did all that because they made a game that died within 2-3 months lmao they were fine with what they put out while they had a stable population spending money on the game. Idk why that is so hard for you to grasp lmao

yeah but i already said they stopped marketing and never fully "launched" so plenty of people on Steam (which is where u are getting ur stats from (there's no other location)) never even knew about it or gave a s***
but it barely cost them money to have out during that period and the skins and whatever they sold made tons of money, enough for them to get a McDonalds promo deal going and an official launch with MORE features
i know it wasnt massively popular when they took it down but i'm sure they knew it was because they weren't marketing it anywhere lmao look at how successful free games are marketed and supported POST LAUNCH and if Marvel Rivals and Multiversus and Star Wars Hunters are given that level of treatment then 6 months of life seems a bit ridiculous, how is that not reasonable to u?

Probably because there’s plenty of other soulless free MP games out there w big budgets and steady content drops that failed too. Because they were s*** games (mainly because they are just copy/pasting w 0 innovation) lol pretty simple stuff
Support the s*** all you want but you’re part of the problem when you defend and support this slop
Only way I see this game doing okay is if the gametypes are unique. If its payload pushing and attack/defendit’s over and I can’t be convinced otherwise

but the point is, what FREE replicated version of Overwatch and Smash Bros' gameplay loops actually had massive franchises as their main characters?
we haven't seen that yet, both of them spongebob and nickelodeon s***s costs money and had less features than Multiversus will at launch for FREE
this Marvel game is hitting a pocket that doesnt exist, third person hero shooter for FREE (Overwatch is first person) and it's got playable characters in it at launch that are alone bigger than entire franchises (spider-man, wolverine and the MCU in general)
i'm with you every other time tho man
games like Knockout City and xDefiant and Heroes of the Storm and u name it are just not going to cut it these days especially when games like Overwatch 2 aren't cutting it
Only way I see this game doing okay is if the gametypes are unique. If its payload pushing and attack/defendit’s over and I can’t be convinced otherwise
ngl i really hope it's not a f***ing Payload mode
that matters for me too actually, the longevity of my attention span for modes like that is negative thirty five
