Sorry but Cole already surpassed Kendrick especially during 2020’s with Off Season and the feature run.
Mr Morale wasn’t that impressive looking back, just bunch of incoherent bars and giving me the vibe that he’s trying too hard. Now mind you I love S80 and his older s***, but man Cole just speaks to me more.
Incoherent Bars? How are they incoherent bars like what do you mean? He was speaking clearly on each track. It’s one of the most honest and self aware rap albums in the last 10 years. Has some of the most heartfelt and heaviest topics in life on wax like I don’t understand why you feel that way unless sonically it doesn’t do much for you
Which makes sense, since Nas is Cole’s biggest and most important influence.
Real recognize real
The racial stress fake activist seems like a direct line to Kendrick after he ends it with “studio steppers”
Kendrick’s whole last album was telling y’all he’s not some savior or activist
Cole sending shots at Young Boy... Dont forget Young boy diss Cole and Drake about 6 months ago.... for nothing.
J Cole doing that thing where he randomly collabs with a "mumble rapper" causing his fanbase to latch onto them and take them seriously as if there was anything wrong with the music they made before.
I’m just happy that Cole finally getting his flowers. KTT makes it seems like he can’t rap for some weird reason.
MY GREATEST FLEX IS THAT I MADE "A MILLI" FEEL LIKE IM BANGLADESH
SOME ACTIVISTS GOT SO RICH THEY PROBABLY WISH WE STAY OPPRESSED
Cole really the GOAT bruh....

Perhaps I was addressing at the wrong aspect, point is the "Rapping" throughout the album didn't even feel like rap and more like Kendrick venting out his thoughts during a therapy session, which I didn't care for. Not to mention the album didn't like that musically either.
I wasn't impressed, but to each their own. Cole at least brings back the energy and hunger that's missing in hip-hop, which feels refreshing. Kendrick no doubt has the ability to approach features and even albums through a similar fashion, but trapped too much under the expectations of his fanbase and critics.
I prolly put more niggas on pause than Cam and Mason Beth

THAT S*** MADE ME SO HYPE
