I’m feeling like you’re probably right but that sounds like worst case scenario to me lol.

Even if it was all fake and Drake sacrificed himself for hip hop I’d prefer that to just going back to sneak dissing and podcast beefing.

The worst-case scenario for us, but not for them, at least Kendrick.

Drake appears to have realised his mistake in shading Kendrick after Control, when all it did was help his peers improve, if anyone, its all New York rappers who had right to feel shaded, not Drake.

Even Jay E apologised, but Drake kept that feud until 2021 and 2022, where he shouts him out on Instagram and wishes him happy birthday IIRC, goes to a Big Steppers show, and even requested a feature on FPS, but Kendrick addresses here on this song that we still have s*** to hash out, hence why he dropped Like That, and don't act like you're my friend now.

So Drake realises that in the midst of all his former peers (Rocky, Future, Weeknd) attacking him for sneaking them into FATD, he has no choice but to bite his tongue and continue the beef, because Cole, for example, appears weak as f*** here, even if it was modest and respectful for both.

IMO I don't think it will last long; they may reconcile in the future, but not anytime soon.

With the current performance its only helping him tbh.
To eliminate drake you have to make him look like a b**** in a way that his core audience wont feel the hype for his next record! Just like how the people are feeling about j cole now!

it feels more like an end of an era thing for all parties involved it’s more sad than anything

like if they end drake who’s gonna be left
everyone involved doesn’t have the same workrate as him
so we’d just be in a drakeless era of music for nothing

    it’s like lebron rn lol

Truth is they’ve both held their own so far. The people that wanted Kendrick to win are saying he’s leading, Drake fans think Drake is winning.

The people that claim to be objective are going to be continually geeked by the newest diss to drop. The guys glazing Kendrick today will be doing the same when Drake fires back again lol. People want to be a part of a moment and move on quickly.

I’m enjoying it. They’re both doing their thing and at this stage they both kinda walk away with their reputations intact if not enhanced by this scuffle No real clear winner or loser, just fan base wars. And I say this as someone who enjoyed riling up Kendrick stans after push ups dropped lol.

    I got it 1-1 rn

But unless something is monumentally better, their series gonna stay tied to me

But I'd rather you call me a f*ggot and say I have d*** sucking lips than tell me you're not part of the culture and make me uncomfortable when you say nigga. I think it's done.

The most underrated part of the song is Kendrick’s call back to ADHD & the way he pronounced “that/dat”

He rapping his ass off, but what’s new that we haven’t heard about Drizzy already? Rick called him white boy, Pusha said some s*** about him not being black enough, both said s*** about the ghostwriting…but hey. I’m just happy for another round, but you’d be a fool to this s*** over

    Real talk.

I once fought with a friend and called him a mutt because we was fighting, and he didn't speak to me for months. I regretted it, heavy. To this day.

And as someone from Toronto I didnt even register that was a Toronto mans accent, I thought people in LA said crodie

I feel people are missing a bar...
The way Kendrick says "know nothin 'bout that" it sounds like "know nothin 'bout dad"

Sure is not just “dat”? Could’ve been intentional though

Am I missing a bar or does kendrick never get back to back to the back? ‘Ima get back to that for the record’

He eluding to knowing something about it that only drake will know what he means? Or is it just a joke that his follow up diss is gonna be a back to back level track??
