    i feel like the "this is a beef so this gotta be a hype beat w horns or some s***!!" thing is kinda predictable which is why i was happy to hear him going in over some neo soul s*** to begin with. that's another reason i preferred pushups v1 even if i wouldve preferred drake over a conductor beat too. also another reason i love heart pt 4, because it isn't "hard" in a predictable way, it's hard but experimental as f***. same with pusha's disses at the time. like infrared whew. anyway wish kendrick got in that bag for this one, or even used a more experimental cardo beat like the ones bro's been making for carti lately

    yeah it’s hypocritical when you look at it like that but every rapper has lines about niggas acting like b****es. including queer rappers and drake lol.

    it is a lot to unpack tho because it does imply that you should be a certain way due to gender but you know it’s not that direct lol

    At least you can admit the hypocrisy.

    I think the difference is all other rappers aren’t winning Pulitzers, being crowned a King on speaking for societal issues in music, and essentially having their music always be crowned the “golden example” for progression.

    There should be a diff responsibility and standard held for someone in that instance no? Not the “well others do it!!” copout
