man the conversation about this on twitter is very interesting because i get what j cole is saying but at the end of the day, this is information that’s not hard to find but you have to be open to criticism and searching for ways to help and move forward rather than being defensive, dismissive and divisive.
at the same time i am duly against talking down to less educated or informed people or talking above their head because it literally does nothing to help our people. i think one of the main points is THAT IS NOT WHAT NONAME DID! she said the famous rappers that built careers off songs about the collective struggle should be out here during the uprising. and tbh as far as the really genuine activists and organizers online go, they online seem to be short or rude about things when it’s clear someone is trying to gaslight them and exhaust them on an argument that doesn’t need to be made.
But cole isn’t online heavy so idk if he truly understands that. i get what he’s going for but this message he’s trying to push may not land the way he intends it to.
shoutout noname and all my fellow communists and abolitionists. this s*** is hilarious
solidarity
noname got bodied
She'll be forever known as the female rapper who got bodied by J Cole.
F***ing Cole out of all people
remember when noname tweeted some s*** bout being mad that her fanbase is mostly CACS
Crying
so this song was a response to no name's tweet?
i'm late asf and just heard the song now
i’m dying at cole asking her to educate him when the same twitter he’s scrolling on is FULL of theory recommendations and her boosting abolitionists and organizers that are tapped in who are also recommending authors and books... i mean she literally has a book club for this s***. She’s doing amazing things
"Thank you for constantly complaining on twitter and doing very little to actually find solutions for the problems you constantly speak about"

He asked HER to do it since she tweeted about HIM.
This is a weird, deeply passive aggressive song that seems to be all about lecturing a black woman over a tweet
"Read the room" Twitter is an echo chamber. Being woke is nothing without power. People should be focusing their energy on getting politicans that won't capitulate to capitalism.

Probably because she's typing away about other people not doing s*** while doing just that.
