i mean he obviously believes in the message he put out so why would he worry about getting backlash from it?
He will come out and clarify himself when the heat gets too much. Black women is a group he won’t want to be misconstrued in
Watch
This track lowkey directed towards black women who are rightfully upset about what happened to Olawutoyin and I gotta say Cole just need to sit this one out forreal. When you understand the frustrations of black women, and the situation(s) that led to them feeling this way...nigga pipe down and let them vent. Because it is very much well deserved.
this is about noname, not at all black women lol
Because even if he does do that work, if people don't see it being posted about, they call him and others out.. isn't that enough to make someone want to defend themselves or explain their perspective?
same way kanye getting bashed while quietly donating 2 milly to families and sending kid to college and marching
no tweet, no talk, all action
ppl dont like that, they love lip service
I think Cole approached it the wrong way tbh.
He should’ve responded on his album directly and only given her 3-4 bars and then moved on. Really wasn’t worth a whole song. Apparently she’s extremely contradictory and only wrote that tweet out of frustration. She was definitely in the wrong, but she deleted it and moved on.
shouldve what? you are going to police how many bars someone can give someone?
the message is important, cole spoke
Lol

you're right, Noname's initial critique was kinda lame, but I agree with it 100%. it might not apply to J Cole 100%, but there are a lot of "woke" celebs everybody loves who ain't doing s*** right now. And Cole/Kendrick could be using their platform better to be sharing petitions and s*** like that.
She probably could've hit Cole up privately but her initial critique doesn't only apply to him, however she probably should have used her connections and pulled strings to get people like Cole to better use their platform.
The crazy thing about it is that cole and Kendrick never claim to be woke. That’s a label we attach to them.
And we give the trap rappers a pass. Imagine if ppl attack rhapsody for not doing enough while giving Nicki a pass. They would die a honorable death.
But good conversation.
Cole and Kendrick just need to do them and ignore all the noise. Black folk(myself included) sacrifice out r leaders for imperfections all the time and wonder why trump is in office.
Even Malcolm and Martin was critique to hell
damn they really canceling cole
Twitter hasn’t had one successful cancellation. Fan bases are 85 percent white
Lol
https://twitter.com/_charlespreston/status/1273082233411309568This man is exactly what he's talking about, couldn't be a better example
Cancel Cole, Kendrick, Kanye, Hov and Jay Electronica lol
Lol let NoName takeover the positive rap lane and perform to her 1000 white fans.
Lol

Exactly, gets annoyed with Cole for focusing on noname rather than rappers who aren’t about that life, but then himself focuses on Cole rather than rappers that aren’t about that life. Then proceeds to spend half his day coming up with random scenarios ridiculing people defending Cole. Literally madness haha
Lol
https://twitter.com/_charlespreston/status/1273082233411309568Say her name
"Noname"
“Shit, it's a reason it took like two hundred years for our ancestors just to get freed
These shackles be lockin' the mental way more than the physical“
Remember when Kanye said this and got destroyed?

If he wants to critize Cole, that's fine. But he's just portraying the exact image Cole is describing in his song.
oh s*** you edited "! woman" to this post

Didn't Twitter get mad at Kendrick for his stretch marks remarks on wax?
