Realistically, Drake can be one of the greatest writers in the game when he actually puts some effort into it. Realistically, Drake knows how to use multiple levels of irony. Realistically, Drake knows psychological warfare.

Overall Drake did his thing and I’m sure years from now more people will revisit the songs from this battle and make a case for him holding his own.

He didn’t really lose because of what was said.

He lost because of how it was said.

He just doesn’t have the voice, vocal tone, cadence and versatility in his delivery that kendrick has.

And on top of that Kendrick is just creative af.

I was one of those thinking Kendrick doesn’t have the bars like that to battle the best especially compared to how raw he used to rap but he surprised me.

Kendrick putting it in a song really cements it, especially if that song goes on to be number 1, and is played "uncensored" at public places and events.

It's weird, it's more than just internet conspiracy now. It's becoming an actual rumour "cosigned" by Kendrick in your average persons eyes.

why would he have not made it a clearer actual diss, that takes more than a few reddit paragraphs to twist into sense. would he not rather say "I agree with your mother you did get molested" rather than "thats when YOU said you got molested" - we know Drake likes to make things ring for the audience, a lot of The Heart Part 6 is addressing things FOR the audience.

Something like that sounds like a mistake, and makes Kendrick think "this guy didn't listen haha my mr morale narrative was correct" + gives more fuel against Drake online when it comes to discussions from all those Kendrick fans too.

I agree - imo it makes Kendrick's prestigious discography look a lot worse if he has a number 1 chanting things about pedophilia and "ov-hoes" especially when the whole pedo thing isn't true.

Kendrick whether you like him or not was associated with "quality" - he was "above" Drake in that sense. Sure he added some Atlanta bars in the song but it doesn't change the weird main topic.
