There's a reason why actual battle rappers have Drake as the victor in this beef while every casual fan is taking Kendrick getting a hit record from it as the ultimate sign of victory. He stayed silent while Drake went crazy with the trolling and memes which allowed him to cook up 3 ready to go diss tracks.
Dropping 20 minutes after Family Matters which killed any and all hype it had (it’s trailing behind all 3 of Kendrick’s disses)
Dropped a banger club hit after 2 relatively slow songs which made a lot of people gravitate towards NLU which made it the biggest hit of the year
He also made a lot of Drake lines age like s*** lol, the whole “drop and give me 50”, “I get more love in the city that you from”, “this next one bout to bring out the coward in you”, etc
