I gotta agree with you on this. I’m surprised he got outmaneuvered like this smh. He really put everything he had on Family Matters

Yep but IIRC he was basically giving a rollout through IG stories and talking through Al, Mal, etc. like you might as well have shot Kendrick a text letting him know you were about to put out the nuke lol

Everyone in OVO needs to learn the value of shutting the f*** up and letting their boss's music speak for itself. I'm skeptical an operation this goddamn stupid is even capable of pulling off a "fake mole" to undermine Kendrick.

Drake did a good job pivoting to claim it was his plan all along but he needs to tell his weed carriers to stand down (except King Jared, who is running a generational misinformation campaign)

biggest mistake drake makes and is making is his reliance on these bozo streamers to spread information

And after Push Ups dropped, he had a couple of weeks to better prepare. Him and his team should have seen the possibility of Kendrick doing this and dropping multiple records. Bro should have been in the booth

I think something I’ve learned is Drake is way better as a subliminal/sneak disser (and I mean that as a complement) than he is actively engaging with someone on wax. Just moves way too sloppy when the chips are pushed on the table

    i disagree

he is a way better strategist than kendrick

he kept up with him perfectly with little to no prerecorded songs

how is he supposed to compete with someone who has an album of diss tracks saying the same false narrative several times over? he honestly didn’t even know kendrick was gonna respond at all, much less have all that in stock

It is and it's not even close. It's all been downhill from there.

tbh though does the average person even pay attention to the little bits of info he puts out through streamers other than us?

in real life nobody cares about any of this duh, there are children starving in warzones rn - it's a silly point

Everyone who isn't a nerd already over it lol. We're the last ones left still arguing over this s***

I agree Family Matters might be the best diss track, but Not Like Us is undeniable bro. It will absolutely be played for years. If nothing else, it’s a West Coast classic already

You really think Kendrick the master lyricist would’ve wanted to win by dropping a dumb ass track like that? I think deep down he’ll be seething he got out rapped by drake

No, but Kendrick does. That's what matters

    Caught in what man

Hmmm being attracted to and having inappropriate relationships with minors? Because yeah a 30 year old texting a 14 year old about dating advice is some f***ing weird s***. And we've also got that video of him being a creep at that concert. There's two instances of video proof. Please try to recontextualize all that for me, I'd like your interpretation.

how is recording an entire album of diss tracks and then stepping on every release a mastermind strategy?

that isnt even a rap battle, its just kendrick mass producing s***ty pre-recorded songs without replying

Let's also not ignore the main reason Kendrick is winning now in people's eyes: everyone hates Drake and it doesn't matter what Kendrick dropped — good or bad, the narrative online was always gonna be that Drake lost and Kendrick won. All the coping people were doing when Drake had dropped 2 diss tracks and Kendrick was yet to drop any tells you all you need to know.

There was never a timeline where Drake would win this battle in the court of public opinion when said "public" is mostly a loud and vocal minority of people who are chronically online and hate Drake's guts.

I'm judging this beef by the quality of diss tracks and the quality of the disses/rebuttals and in that regard, Drake is far ahead of Kendrick. This will be the first rap beef in history where numbers and chart positions matter but we all know why that is.

A 22 year old and 17 year old isnt being a pedo. Trying to guide a fellow child star isnt either. Not everyone is as sick and twisted as you. Luckily.

If Kendrick’s strategy wasn’t a “mastermind” and still was able to overwhelmingly sway the general public on his side then Drake’s was complete dogshit

    & @secondring

you guys are coming from two separate angles - Drake music is still gonna be played and his career isn't "dead". People are obviously still gonna sing along to his hits.

but in terms of this beef the public perception is he lost and Kendrick got him.

Yeah but idc that he lost the beef, I like both of the artists. This will probably end up like side quests to both in hindsight because it’s really not going to end the careers for either; nor was it ever if we’re being honest with ourselves.

Both are gonna drop a few more albums at least and they’ll all be played like they were before by masses.

they were gonna side with kendrick either way, they were saying he was winning with “silence” way before euphoria
