Definitely the best of the singles released so far but nothing dropped from Insano feels like a "Cudi" track to me. Maybe that'll change but I can't imagine enjoying a 20+ song album of music like this. He's clearly excited about this new direction though so I'm happy for him regardless.

Probably cuz it’s something relatively new to him, pretty much every cudi album sounds different from the one before it…it’s been that way his whole career. Why would it change now?

In the last three years he’ll have motm3 which was more in his wheelhouse outside of a handful of songs that sounded similar to these tracks. Then entergalactic was a rnb/pop love album with only a couple rap tracks. Why are we acting like cudi isn’t all over the place musically? That’s why he’s cudi.

Odds are his next project sounds nothing like this, if you don’t like this sound that much just wait for that one to drop. I mean his loosies this year have covered a lot of ground as well.

We got all my life which sounds like alternative rock aka his wzrd sound.

Then the rest of his releases are more modern hiphop releases with a twist.

Cudi's albums are all different from each other for sure, but there's still a core to them that makes them a "Kid Cudi" project. This isn't new information, I've been listening to him since AKNC. I also don't think him being all over the place musically is the problem.

Maybe what I should've said is that these recent singles feel forced IMO and not inspired. Even SB2H, a huge departure from his signature sound, which I'm not the biggest fan of, still at least feels inspired in a way that the Insano singles do not. Admittedly, I'm having a hard time identifying what it is exactly with these singles, whether it's the production or Cudi himself.

This project will have a lot of songs on it so I'm hopeful there will be something to like. But as of right now, I'm underwhelmed.

Cudis never really done this sound for a project so of course a lot of his fanbase will be decisive about it i just don’t understand the people who think he needs to be boxed in and isn’t allowed to make this kind of music. Also this song sounds like something he’d make in his motm2 days. It sounds like a cudi song. The same can be said for like half of the songs that leaked for this project.

The leaked version sounded more like motm2 cause he had a lower tone and the lazy/mumble flow which was nice but this shall do
