I think it’s because that project felt like a tipping point

Cudi had some missteps in his catalog but I was always at least interested as a fan, even albums I don’t go back to I played so much on release. I played MOTM3 and PPDS so much even though they weren’t prime. But I played entergalactic once, it was just boring and meh.

Then all this s*** leaked and it’s not like it made everyone feel any better about things. It feels like he’s uninspired and reaching and trying to cater to audiences too much, he lost his artistic edge honestly

long time cudi fan here, had very low hopes for this album but i really f*** with this s***

cool fun fast tracks on some new s*** and then X & CUD, Blue Sky, funky wizard smoke feel like classic cudi

need yachty to produce a full cudi album like blue sky tho thats the direction cudi should go fr

Mr.Coola cud be better to. Another one I'm not overly feeling. Beat is sick but feel like he could've attacked it a bit better

I suppose man, his career has always been up and down. From indicud to now. I can't really say he's been on a descent because MOTM3 was good and that was only 3 years ago. I don't know why people put so much stock in Emtergalactic because it was supposed to supplement the bigger project which was the movie. And that's me saying all that because MOTM3 barely hit me the last couple months after I thought MOTM3 sounded like him trying to blend in. His music always reflects his mental state atm. Idk how someone listens to some songs on here and think "uninspired" or listen to "Lovin Me"'on MOTM3 and think uninspired.

To listen to an album one time from an artist you f*** with and never listen to it again is crazy to. I find Cudi's music you always gotta give a few spins before it really clicks
