like wym this is a recent (2026) re-recording of a self-titled (2014) album session for the 20th anniversary of Bday (2006)

Nicki did this for The Pinkprint (a bunch of Queen era loosies with one TPP era feature) and Beam Me Up Scotty (TPP era soundcloud singles with a few recently recorded songs), and i recall Big Sean and 2 Chainz doing this as well

i’m all for dropping old songs on DSPs, but it’s weird to me to group them with a different album’s anniversary

that being said, i like this
