82 coverage was so bad i switched on 85. will watch this one later. Keke Rosberg with better reliability could have finished a lot closer to Prost in 85, only his poor racecraft could have prevented him from winning the title I think. and what about Alboreto? I feel like 85 was a bit of a lottery. Even Senna in his 2nd year was doing good impression.

Nigel was terrible that year... saved his season with 2 wins towards the end.

yea i dont want to underestimate his race, but we'd look at it differently had he not won.

prost was definitely the class of the field in 85. almost faultless season.

cannot deny that Prost was a worthy winner. He was also outpacing them on fewer oncassions including the same Alboreto in a faster Ferrari. It wouldnt have been unfair if Alboreto had won the championship with such a lead. I kinda liked his energy behind the wheel.

Thats not a me thing to do, its too difficult, there are season I couldnt watch every races so I can barely remember what happened, the only accurate one would be 2011 at the last place, anyways as far as I know :

    2012
    2007
    2008
    2010
    2009
    2011

The way Prost placed his car with the left rear wheel contact was clever.

Dont know if people remember last year Australian pole, but Lewis on the first Q3 run intended to do the same agressive lap that he did the year before but it didnt work. But he had so much time on his bag that on the second run his appraoch changed and he was less agressive, more smooth I would say for a lack of better word.

check out the older episode of it

usually he has this program called Teds Notebook after the race where he walks along the paddock and rewinds the Grand Prix, really insightful stuff

to some extent you might notice driver adaptability and other stuff by doing that but their core driving will remain the same i believe. you wont see a Vettel driving a Williams differently than his philosophy in a Ferrari unless chairman experts be saying some bullshit to fans which is possible.
Look, im supa supa casual too. the more you watch the more you notice things here and there, nothing spectacular though. if you want a good understanding you might need to dedicate yourself a bit more and read them books, articles, forums, watch videos, etc. i think there are people good at explaining here you should ask. then which type of fan you are and how you sense the fun in the sport. me i cant really help you, i can only help masyelf.
