Their rule of literally NO white actors is a bit silly imo considering most actors are white. I get that they want diversity but literally none is a bit picky. Yeah I know other races are often overlooked in casting because producers want films to appeal to majority white countries like USA & China
Why feel the need to cast white actors in a show that is set in an Asian country

I get why they were concerned about the whitewashing cause everyone hates it when netflix messes with the source material in their adaptions & changes things for no reason but them mandating all non-white actors seems a bit picky to me cause for minor characters the race shouldn't really matter

Avatar The Last Airbender is one of the only animated series that i could rewatch today and still be heavily into it
I don't know if a live action series would work, also considering that flop of a movie
But we'll see. Lots of potential for this world and characters
No white actors seem like cap. I think Netflix def wanted recognizable white actors in main roles though.
Dark tone doesnt suit it at all
Wasn’t that one of the biggest gripes about the s***ty ass movie? It’s been forever since I’ve seen it but they tried to make it seem more serious and s*** and it was just so corny and lame
If this real
Definitely woulda had a “Katara f***s Jet” storyline.
they probably would do this if they could
A lot of the leads will definitely be white. I doubt Netflix would learn that lesson at all

Why would it honestly be that hard to cast all non white actors? It's already an established series that people will watch regardless, you don't need big stars to sell it
Netflix probably shy from Marco Polo not being as big as they’d hoped. Only had 1-2 white people in the entire show iirc. It was a great show nonetheless
I thought Witcher was supposed to be their next game of thrones. How many GoT do they need?
