30 mil for a Kanye West documentary is nothing. Producers spend more on that for Amy Schumer movies

ehh thats about right for a Netflix acquisition tho... That's not a small price and its a huge return based on the fact they casually filmed a lot of it.

no ones throwing blockbuster money at a documentary even if its Kanye. 30M is a great price. i think you're looking at it as a stan rather than a studio who has to make money on streams (which don't make much money easily)

like Netflix was buying festival/oscar season films for $20-$30M just late last year

Trial of the Chicago 7 cost them $50M i think and that would get much more attention than an artist doc
