Steve Jobs was on the whole other side of the intelligence spectrum. Technical, engineering, etc.
Ye is far more creative and talented in the arts.
I donāt like Kanyeās idea of making all of his projects hyper IPhone/McDonalds accessible
What he talk about when he was talking with the 2 dudes in DR?
Do not go and rewatch it.
What kinda dumb ass challenge is this. Obviously Iām not gonna remember a non notable convo among almost 2 hours of footage. What does that have to do with comprehension
Love that scene because you can see how important it was for Ye to kill that verse and prove he can rap in front of Hov. He wanted it bad. And after that you see his confidence as a rapper sky rocket the closer they get to releasing CD
Yeah HOV coaching up Kanye too for his Bounce verse was great to see.
the DR sessions were only spooky because of the backtrack silence Coodie chose. obvi they did not have that cozy feel like the early sessions did, but I don't think they were as spooky as people were making them out to be. the real estate convo was wack, those dudes gave off epstein vibes

Also I just remembered what he was talking about. Goofy. He meant he was being pressured in different aspects of his life by whatever powers he feels are against him and he was able to reconnect with those branches of his life after all that battling. His limbs grew back. Sorry you couldnāt understand what he was saying. Glad I could help tho

and also the conversations with the white dudes were cut in such a way that we'd hear ye say s*** without any context.

Heās saying that their concept/ideas of what to do with the property they invested in is too small minded, telling them that he is the one with the vision ie Steve Jobs so just let ye do what he wants with the land and yāall just stick to investing the money.
Heās just an a****** about it
He puts it into perspective by s***ting on the absolutely beautiful beach house they were in, heās trying to make homes/buildings/structures that are not like anything we see nowadays n s***
The Deadpool s*** is just him saying no matter happens to him he will never stop creating

Oh the deadpool thing. Cringe.

the dudes sounded sped. what if we put a church out there motions to middle of the ocean
def people ye needs to stay away from

Not saying itās a sane person thought but itās not incomprehensible and itās lame as f*** that everyone always tries to do that with him

Lmao right felt like pandering bc of the sunday service thing
most uncomforting part for me was prob that freestyle he was trying to get out on the PJ that just was not working lol

LMAO he sounded completely insane with the editing at the end
True Jay was the only popping artist they had before Kanye. Then Ye came and became something bigger
Not true lol the Roc had Beans/State prop and Cam, Cam and Dipset. Cam Went platinum wit the Roc. Even Bleek had joints before Ye but Kanye took the ball when he got it ran it up.
I just realized jamie foxx has been telling the same kanye story in interviews about slow jamz for more than a decade and it went nearly nothing like what he described lmaoooo
What was Jamieās story?
yāall being so sensitive, this nigga prolly made 10m+ for this work. S*** is fire. All three parts have their strengths and weaknesses but overall itās an instant classic.
that being said, as a kanye fan, not having s*** from 2007 and beyond brings it down. Add to that adding things from his most recent eras without context of his real ascendence to the top the s*** just doesnāt make as much sense to a casual
overall itās still 9/10
finally someone makes a fair point re: the lack of footage from 2007-2015
it's def worth keeping in mind that we're all Stans and not only are we intimately familiar with the music from that time period but also probably a ton of the interviews and other s*** that was going on, so even though it glosses over it (by necessity, I'll remind), we are able to somewhat fill in that gap with our own prior knowledge going into the final leg of the doc. but casual fans or people watching this with no knowledge will be missing some p important context for his actual importance to music and culture. this is a good point.
I agree still 9/10 tho
act 3 was a tough watch for me. not necessarilly because of the politics, although it was uncomfortable. But it seemed as if ye was/is hurtin so much. when hes talking to his dad i sense resenment towards him and a yearning for his dad just to converse and entertain him teh way his mother did does.
that convo in DR with the 2 guys. "man you should put a church out there" sounds like to people just trying to find a way to spend his money one way so they can use him another way.
ye feels like a big ass kid and i dont mean that as a negative. im glad coodie was brought back in the fold. im hoping he can stay around and the likes of rhymfest him etc. can be his link to stay a little grounded. i also respect coodie not filming him on one of his rants thats real nigga s***. if anyone else was filming who really didnt know ye since 17 wouldve filmed and had more footage to exploit.
in short: act 3 showing THAT PHASE was sad to me. something about it made it seem as though his environemnt arent as soulful(music aside) as they used to be.
most uncomforting part for me was prob that freestyle he was trying to get out on the PJ that just was not working lol
and the sweet little bowl artist who was sitting there like
holy s*** what have I gotten myself into

I understand where you're coming from but its explained in the doc (part 3) why there isn't that much footage from 2007 and beyond. Its mostly coodie's footage and around that time they fell out. I think it helps if you see this more as a doc from coodie's perspective rather than a general kanye doc

in regards to the content of act 3 evrytime the showed any music related film that s*** immediately kept my spirts alive.
part of me hates how much i stan this guy. i cant help myself. music did so much for me since 2004. but im done defending him but im also done letting everyone come to me as if im his mf local PR team. all im saying is thats crazy and still gonna enjoy the parts of ye that are enjoyable with no judgement

would be curious to know the actual WHY they fell out. whether its from coodie or ye's persepective. they seemed to be coy about elaborating

im not sure it is related to a direct incident as everyone seems to be implying. i think ye got bigger and in relation to him being videotaped, he had grander ideas that he felt coodie probably could not execute, and so without telling coodie that he slowly distanced himself. re, the jesus walks video. he loved coodie and what he had done for him, but he knew he needed hype williams to shoot it

for sure. again from coodie's perspective, it seemed that kanye started acting "hollywood" and they grew distant cause of that. like look at the grammy's after party where ye forgets his name 3 times. i'd definitely be tight about that
