i wanna say i partly understand the decision. but then there are features like the one where you can crosspost into music sxn which almost always ends up being a thread that should belong solely in that artist's sxn. we're actually breaking bread in here, discussing neil young amongst other related (or not) musical acts. idk...just seems like what a music forum is for lol

tbh i was always confused about how that Weezer/OK Human thread popped up outta nowhere and was LIT every hour of every day. confused because it's not the typical artist/genre you see highlighted on here, but i was never annoyed or anything by it. i figured it just turned into a chat thread of sorts. until i went in the thread and everything i saw was on topic and about the music. just people who love music and love discussing it.

the threads are wonderful man and we gonna keep them active regardless. know that

i share the same pov - when drake dropped scary hours and it was moved into his sxn only a day later i don’t get it tbh and i don’t even listen to drake, altho tbf there’s enough constant drake talk and stans that it won’t be affected by it and prolly save from drake obsessed haters from jumping into it

but weezer or ny won’t benefit from that

not anymore as of now outside ktt which is why i put lot of passions here

i used to be in lot french communities lol so i don’t think you know them

the coolest one was some private one i was invited into with only like old people it was some like insider s*** some of the ppl were engineers for some beatles late sessions so it was an honor, learned lot about the beach boys there from old long time fans and some neil young stuff - they went deep on him some guy was visiting his catalogue like one album a year or something crine s*** gonna take forever but he was dedicated

but had to leave when they started to argue against hip hop threads

(that’s why i don’t really do hip hop threads here bc it’s irrelevant to me, everyone else will do it anyway, but who’s gonna make a popping weezer thread?)

i don't belong to rateyourmusic but i check out their discussion there now and then.

yeah i loved it and learned so much from it like context wise it’s amazing when you hear it from ppl with the experience and not just read theories or a***ysis yknow, knowledge and knowing what you’re talking about >>>>>

maybe that’s why i am the way i am on ktt - i come from a strict background (communities wise) where if your thread didn’t have a good op presentation (like if it’s just one song yt link) it was locked and if you derailed the thread too much the post would get deleted or you would get a warning

ofc i know how to adjust and be more cool on that, ktt is more of a chat factor and op doesn’t have to be as heavy - but i keep my energy focused due to that experience of let’s keep it about actually music talk

like yesterday that davidp thread about saving music sxn ppl were like oh we need better artists to talk about

then what you don’t know any good artists to talk about? talk that talk yknow
