All Ive Got To Do always been one of my favourite to sing along to with my fake Liverpewl accent (grandpa was from liverpool tho)
i was so lost when i went to visit liverpool for beatles stuff the accent is way too thiccc
and i love her top 10 beatles also
the only ones i really love are Twist and Shout and Anna (Go to Him)
but the only ones that id say are actually subpar or useless are the Chuck/Richard ones and Mr Moonlight. rest are middling to moderately enjoyable
ive been revisiting early Beatles this past week and I definitely have more of an appreciation from it now than i did when i first listened years ago. because of the knowledge/context i have of the rhythm and blues/early rock/etc. music that i didn't have before
for some reason im not huge on any version of You Really Got a Hold On Me tbh
for some reason (never heard anything older than late 60s growing up) early beatles immediately hit me as the catchiest s*** on earth and i always stanned
the night before s tier too
i consider that song and the bbs “girl don’t tell me” the birth of power pop

cant really do a top ten beatles comparing early song to later or even middle tbh
If I Fell and Things We Said Today are the gems of Hard Days Night imo

you just said "sure" confirming that Love Me Do is the birth of power pop even if Night Before took it further
why do you try and act like you dont like the beatles again?

man im not a walking book i don’t have all the answers - if people that made the power pop scene in the 70s all will claim love me do as the start and im alone mentioning night before then it is what it is, from my experience i just feel like night before put the seeds more of what makes power pop what it is where love me do it’s there but it’s not all the dna yet - not as upbeat, im just talking off of my pov
because there’s enough people that will talk about the beatles for years on earth and keep praising them as greatest of all everything ever
if i hadnt made the bbs thread no one else would’ve

just kidding the whole power pop label doesnt mean much to me. id rather just call it rock and roll since it has loud guitars and drums.
choking butterfly is an amazing user and ive put him onto the bbs love you and he thinks the album is AMAZING - im just saying if that wasn’t for me no one else would have ever recommend him that album in his life on ktt, on god lets not kid ourselves here
but there’s a billion of ktt users who will talk about beatles white album (yikes) for days as the greatest piece of recording everyday will get people into it and think of the album as such without being challenged
