Penix & Washington is the best passing offense they will face by a wide mile, great run defense but not the best passing defense, not strong getting after QBs. Washington is battle tested & has seen elite offenses before & close games. Texas has a mid red zone offense

Washington has the best pass off theyâll have seen when the Washington pass off is clicking. They have a quick strike offense that will score 35 but on 5/11 drives. The Texas DLine shuts run games down, they can be schemed against of course with a month prep but you would have to think that theyâll stifle a majority of the run game. Pass game for Washington is their strength but if theyâre forced to be one dimensional, itâll suffer. Texas has fast and strong athletes across the backfield that will be able to cover well enough when it matters against the receivers.
Texas on offense has playmakers in Blue and the WR core is the best Washington will have seen. Oregon wasnât built to beat a 2023 Washington team. Washington plays dirty (good way) on def and Oregon doesnât have the size and physical nature to be able to play evenly. They were a team that relied on space to make plays and if you take that away they couldnât operate. Texas has the vertical threats to beat the DBs. Sark I think is a big factor too. Heâs known to be really elite at adjustments in game, I think Texas will get out to a lead and then adjust to protect it comfortably. The lead and the Texas line will force Penix to throw and could lead to some second half âyup thatâs itâ turnovers

Texas alum here. Great take in terms of our red zone offense being mid but in terms of size I donât think wash has seen the level of size we have on defense.
If our secondary doesnât pressure penix and make their offense one dimensional. Only way I see us losing

Texas has lulls in games too lol, theyve been having a habit of starting off strong and tapering off. No matter how you try to see it Oregon has a better passing defense than Texas, yards per play and sacks theyre way better than Texas. Sark is 7-11 in one score games since his first Texas season heâs not the messiah you think he is. I think Washington is well equipped to beat Texas
Alabama winning too btw

I think the Oregon def rankings were a little skewed. They played for space on def like they did for offense. Lot of zone from what I remember. That allowed them to suffocate inferior athletes. They got exposed when they played Washington because Washington stretched them vertically and flooded the zones.
Texas will play them differently I think. A lot of press and sticky man. Second best corner and safety on odunze and the best on McMillan. Rely on athletic ability of the backers to run with the RBs.
I think Bama is winning too. Their def will be much of what I think Texas will run. Sticky man. Their secondary is really really good, as you know if youâre on this thread lol. I think the injury to Zinter hampers their run blocking. They are also the fastest team Michigan will have seen this year. Even more than OSU. Linebackers can run with Edwards and the td merchant corum will have the DLine to run into.
Milroe I was critical on early this season but once they figured out his playbook packages heâs excelled. His pre snap reads improved and still need to improve but heâs been electric. I just have this feeling with SEC teams playing B10 teams like this in the playoffs. Sec teams want to hit and knock their head off. Georgia wanted it against Michigan. Theyâve got an edge to them. Itâs a feeling but I think itâs real.
the ohio stink
Interesting stat, not a shot @surgical
No shot taken.
This game vs The Game are WILDLY different considering stakes and roster quality. lol.
Just goes to show how efficient we were to score 30 against their full team vs Mizzou.

Pick at the 25 yd line or whatever and then TD flipped the game that early
Imagine not being able to just run the ball for an half and win a game against a top ten team.
Penn State is number one against the rush and Missoula was 34.
