The fact they make us wait a month is nonsense though

Bowl games are meaningless now that there are playoffs

    Just start the playoffs sooner

I completely missed this in real time because I was so upset that FSU got left out, but look at this stroke of pure genius by the committee

Nov. 18 (week 12): Jordan Travis gets hurt vs. North Alabama. Florida State drops from 4 to 5, clearly signaling that the committee feels that they are materially worse without him.

Nov. 25 (week 13): Florida State beats Florida in Gainesville by 2 scores with a backup QB who gets hurt. This win moves them back into the top 4

Dec. 2 (week 14): Florida State beats #14 Louisville with their 3rd string QB and holds their top 20 offense averaging 30+ PPG to just 6 points en route to winning the ACC Championship and completing an undefeated regular season. The committee then presents the argument that because Florida State has lost their starting QB, they can't be considered one of the best 4 teams.

    So this begs 2 questions...

1, Travis got hurt 3 weeks ago and FSU moved from 4 to 5 immediately after his injury, which implies that the committee felt this way the whole time. Why even move them back up to 4 following the Florida game? If they were always going to be disqualified from CFP contention, what was the point of giving them and their fans false hope over the last 2 weeks?

And 2, if the committee truly feels that they are a considerably worse team without Travis, then what is the explanation for STILL having them above Georgia, Ohio State, and even Oregon? You can't in one breath say they are not good enough to compete for a national championship, and then in the next breath say they're still better than Georgia and Ohio State. It seems like the committee tried to play both sides and failed miserably.

Obviously I totally disagree with leaving them out in general, but the worst part is how the committee went about it. Once again they make complete fools of themselves.

Also I think it's totally hilarious that we are all supposed to just accept Alabama as undoubtedly one of the 4 best teams in the country when just 2 short weeks ago they were a failed 4th & 31 conversion against a very bad Auburn team away from not even being in consideration for the CFP at all, much less being an undisputed top 4 team

Deep down this is what we all knew would happen. There was no way they were going to leave the SEC out completely. Even in a total down year when other conferences played some of their best ball of the decade, they still found a way to jam the SEC in there.

Obviously the SEC will never be left out of the 12 team playoff, but this was truly the perfect storm of things working against them and the committee still put them in. 3 undefeated P5 champs and a 1 loss P5 champ with a H2H win over the SEC's 1 loss champ.

It's nothing short of rigging. It's not a fair system whatsoever, never has been and never will be. The game as we know it has completely changed. From this point forward if you're not playing in the mega conferences you have absolutely no room for error, and the committee just set the precedent that you can make no errors and they can still leave you out because they feel like it.

Just a very dark day for the sport. No amount of words can properly express my disappointment.

And one last thing: Jordan Travis for Heisman! The committee made it clear that he is, without question, the most important player in the country to his team's success. Give him the award! Field is weak enough to make it happen too, no question.

You can’t stop the run. Imagine saying this knowing we were going to run and you couldn’t.

Bro you were a 21 point favorite. And you are the odds on favorite to win the national title. Please quit this "poor me poor me everyone hates Michigan!!! we are good & innocent but let them hate us!" bullshit.

The 3 people who picked Iowa were Pat Mcafee, Theo Von (lmfao) and Lee Corso (lmfao). Dude is all in his feelings over 2 celebrities and a dude who could be in hospice tomorrow picking against his favorite team

You should have gotten the death penalty for the DECADES OF CHILD RAPE.

    PERIOD

Make them home games like they should be.

We already blew up traditional conferences.

Imagine getting d***ed down by the only two good teams in your conference and still shouting from the floor.

Couldn’t beat an interim coach when you have better recruits. Couldn’t beat CRYIN RYAN.

His OC left and they have a 5 star sitting behind him. They probably asked him to respectfully leave

  • Dec 4, 2023

Makes sense. People are treating bowl games as scrimmages at the point if they don't make the playoffs.

  • Dec 4, 2023

Hearing KJ was making $800k-900k through NIL. Should be hitting the portal today. Someone is gonna pay that to get him.

Everything you said is correct and this proves all they want is ratings. Within a justifiable range of reasoning. Obviously they couldn't put Georgia or OSU in, but Bama? Sure can "make an argument"

They flip flop on resume / eye test / most deserving / best team. It's nonsensical and the 12 team should not have a committee.

I kinda get it, that agitation you have when your rivals are cooking but you’re also a pretty prideful program. Sometimes you just gotta let it out
