  • still crazy they got rewarded for us beating them back then, and then losing in a conference championship. They have found every single possible way to back into the big dance

Alabama beat arguably the worst power 5 team in the country by 3 in Arkansas

and barely beat auburn the week before on a "wish me luck" throw. they shouldve dropped in the rankings for that

There’s no doubt in my mind Alabama could beat Texas now, but they lost when it counts. It should be FSU. If Alabama loses 1st round FSU should riot.

I don’t even know why you’d be assured they could beat them now. Texas had the best defensive front they’ve seen all year, arguably the best offensive line, the best offensive play caller, and beat the piss out of them in Tuscaloosa.

I don’t see what Alabama has done since then to warrant even being the favorite in that matchup

  • Dudes are acting like they beat 2021 or 2022 UGA or something

That team they actually played looked like dog s*** against two horrible teams and has two real ranked wins. Beating Missouri and Ole Miss shouldn’t make you some albatross

People whining so much about ā€œSEC biasā€ like… have you ever considered that your conference really isn’t as good? I mean the Big 10 is about there (and that’s generous considering how Penn State poses no threat to Ohio/Michigan), but the ACC really isn’t that good. Now if we were talking about college basketball that would be a different discussion. But that’s exactly my point—recognize some regions (and countries) are better at certain sports than others. I mean does anyone really need reminding how three different SEC programs have won the title in recent years and six have won in the past 25? They deserve a de facto playoff bid until other groups establish an actual practice of being able to beat them in the title games. Who really wanted a TCU/Cincinnati repeat? That is not exciting football to watch. Alabama vs. Michigan will be

Georgia got bounced from the playoff for losing their first game in two seasons. Cry more.

There is no bias. One conference simply has too many respectable programs

The SEC is 7-9 in out of conference games, and the 6-6 Auburn team that pushed its two best teams to the brink lost by 21 at home to a group of 5
